This is how my desk looks like.

Nothing better to kick start the day by coming to a still vacant office, dance and sing whilst making toast in the pantry, amble back to the desk (still singing) and slowly sift through work and prepare checklist for the day :)

I LOVE coming to the office in the wee hours, really. But it’s the waking up at an Ungodly hour that’s preventing me from doing it often hahaha!

P/s. Yeah I have tons of crap on my desk haha. Maps of China (where we import products), Africa (where we export them to), film negatives, polaroids, random quirky cutouts from magazines and stuff kekeke. What? Where’s my tons of work? All stuffed under the cabinet, baby! :P

Pop the Sparkling Juice!

Fuh two years on my own domain! Didn’t think I’d last this long… Kekeke! So, in total, *checks old blogs* an approximate five years of blogging! Darn, I feel so ancient hahaha!

5-year Plan : Small Steps Forward.

These past few weeks, I can say that I feel more stable in the sense that I have decided on a rough outline on my financial plans for the next few years. Although this may change according to situations beyond my control, right now what matters is that I feel I have a goal to achieve, and this actually does motivate me to work harder.

First and foremost, I have already opened up a separate savings account with Auto-Deduction every time my pay comes in. Since it does not come with an ATM withdrawal facility, I don’t have to worry too much about tapping into my savings. Also, as I am saving up at least 1/3 of my pay, InsyaAllah I should be able to save approximately $5,000 in 8 months, which I think is not so bad seeing how much I earn anyway (haha).

Too short a meet, dearies. I still miss you two :)

New Watch!

I’ve always been a one watch woman, in the sense that I will only own one watch at any given point of time, and will wear it day in and day out until it dies on me. And I really mean day in and day out, as I would be wearing the same watch for ALL occasions - beach? prom? work? Anything goes.

So recently, my bling-bling Puma watch dad got me died on me, by having the whole strap split on its sides. Also, a few of the bling-blings had dropped out in the rough tumble of its owner, so I had to finally get down to getting a new watch.

Crestfallen upon finding out that the watch I was eyeing on costs a whopping $380, I reluctantly surveyed the market and fell in love with the following:-

Nightmare Cabbies come from SMRT.

I admit that this IS a sweeping statement to make but I have to say that in most occasions where I am faced with a nightmare of a Taxi Driver, chances are higher that the cab is owned by SMRT. Conversely, it is in my opinion that the best Taxi Drivers come from COMFORT.

Before I begin, I would like to clarify that I am what someone would call a ‘bo-pian’ passenger. I get into a cab, inform the cabby of my destination and sit back. I am blind towards his choice of routes (he might very well be turning around and around Singapore and I wouldn’t know), and his choice of hospitality. Meaning, if he chooses to strike a conversation, I would continue by throwing the ball back onto his court and if he chooses to keep silent, I will be found dozing off in the back seat. Upon destination, I make payment promptly, even tip if it’s a few cents of change, and say my pleasantries.

So basically, if I say that a cabby had pissed me off, it very well means that he was taking that extra effort to be an asshole.

Literary Projectile.

Looking at the amount of effort (or rather, lack of) that I have been putting into the blog these few weeks, it remains but a wonder to me that there are still some of you lurking around. And it’s an even bigger amazement to still receive emails of encouragement from netizens whom I know naught about :) Love love!

On a related note, my procrastination could very well be my downfall. I have a ton of emails dating a MONTH back to clear; both blog-wise and personal, and I swear every single time Windows Live completes its loading, all enthusiasm to reply emails and comments had sauntered out the door and I think, to the neighbor downstairs. Karaoke in decibels not meant for public consumption at anytime of the day? That’s them alright. Sometimes I seriously wonder where they keep their sense of consideration. Stuffed deep in the recesses of their ears perhaps? What else could explain blasting Dangdut at midnight?

Anyway, I’ve been toying with the idea of quitting blogging altogether as it’s been months now that I feel like blogging has lost its appeal. I no longer feel the intense desire and need to jot down every minuscule details of my life the moment I get home, preferring to snuggle in between covers with the boyfriend on the other line, relaying my day to him. Less effort, more comfortable and I don’t have to keep tabs on what I say.

So this will be my last entry on Fingersdontfing.com, and I love all of you, and I promise that before I get lost, I will reply all comments and emails :) I guess, it’s the very least I can do for all your wonderful support and love-pills you guys have prescribed to me all these time!

Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous.

The other day, I was given the opportunity of dining with a millionaire and two of his friends. Amidst bellows of smoke from our sheesha (one each! I got so high I got sick haha) and good food, and of which the contrast can be said for the service given, I heard some stories which really made my eye pop.

One of the gems :-

“You mean you bought your wife another Rolex watch?”

“Yeah.”

“But didn’t you just bought her a Cartier watch not long ago?”

“Oh. She threw that away.”

“WHY?”
