Bangkok Part 3 : Vespa Market.

Taking the train from the Chatuchak Park station (the underground line which I think is brand new as everything looks uber modern), we headed two stops and dropped at Lat Phrao, which was where the Vespa Market is.
On a side note, see those two black things on Haikal’s eyes? That’s the tokens to board the train! So cute! hahaha *cough*

As the huge-ass of a thunderstorm had just stopped, the WHOLE AREA was just flooding and many of the stall owners had only begun to try clear the water using their brooms and whatnot, so when we got there, half the shops were still in the process of being opened :(

However, seeing the number of vintage vehicles (MY VW BUSSES AHHHHH) and items already on display, we braved ourselves and walked through water, mud and other unidentified liquids just so we can be snap happy and have an orgasm looking and touching the vehicles hehehe.
Qiey, who’s a vintage vehicle expert, and I, who just LOVE VW buses, we were in seventh heaven.

SO MANY AND SO SEXY *sigh* Qiey tells me that his friend is selling his VW bus at $50,000. With that kind of money, nevermind la hor, I think I go travel the world better hahaha. *washes eyes*

And it is at Vespa Market that Haikal got the nickname “LastLast” by Anz. Despite his fast dwindling account, my bie kept grabbing anything nice, fishing out money and saying “Ok ok this one last last.”
The above original Fred Perry shoes cost him 1,000 baht (after much serious haggling), afterwhich the boy was seen prancing around, oblivious to everyone who were smirking at him hahaha. So happy dapat kasut baru!

As we were all so damn tired after all the haggling whilst carrying around our 1001 shopping bags, we hopped aboard the first metered cab we saw and was treated to a first person view of Fast and Furious!
This guy really drove like CRAZEEEEEEEEYYY and all of us were practically sitting on the edge of the seats as he did stunts like driving on the shoulder lane, switching from the first to third lane in two seconds on a busy-like-hell highway, squeezed between two cars… all these whilst yawning from time to time.

After cleaning up, we went back down to the 24-hr convenience store a few metres down from LubD to buy our nightly snacks (Vitasoy! See so good girl, people go drinking we drink soyamilk haha) and headed back to base. Love the girl manning the store! Always so polite, always so helpful, always laughing because she doesn’t understand English kekeke.

Hung out at the front porch for a while greeting more AngMohs, went to the Theatre room to watch some Dvds and finally went to bed because we were really so darn tired from all the walking… Next day, Lazy Sunday :)
