It’s Raining!

Posted: April 28th, 2009 | Author: faddy | Filed under: General | Comments Off

Weather’s been so hot and humid the past few nights that I must say I always wake up sticky and sweaty (no aircon mah), my body all tired and aching. So I was surprised this morning when I found myself waking up at 5am feeling all refreshed and whatnot, and how my skin felt smooth to touch.

I peered out the window, and realized, oh my it is raining! Oh how sweet the rain was, tumbling down in torrents from the heavens above, big gusts of cold wind that carried lost raindrops to the safety of my cheeks :) Tres happy (and comfy)!

And for new readers who wants to see more pictures of my glorified geekiness (as well as the geekiness of 101 others) like in the entry below, head over here. You can submit your geekdom pictures to my email as well for uploading! Have a good day everyone :D

Deeper Conversation.

Posted: April 27th, 2009 | Author: faddy | Filed under: General | Comments Off

Is your favourite colour blue?
Do you always tell the truth?
Do you believe in outerspace?
Now I’m learning you

Is your skin as tanned as mine?
Does your hair flow sideways?
Did someone take a portion of your heart?
Now I’m learning you

And if you don’t mind
Can you tell me
All your hopes and fears
And Everything that you believe in
Would you make a difference in the world
I’d love for you to take me to a deeper conversation
Only you can make me

I’ve let my guard down for you
And in time you will too

If you don’t mind
Can you tell me
All your hopes and fears
And Everything that you believe in
Would you make a difference in the world
I’d love for you to take me to a deeper conversation
Only you can make me

If you don’t mind
Can you tell me
All your hopes and fears
And Everything that you believe in
Would you make a difference in the world
I’d love for you to take me to a deeper conversation
Only you can make me

4x
Deeper Conversation
Does ur name rhyme with mine…

Journey Back to the Old Skool.

Posted: April 26th, 2009 | Author: faddy | Filed under: General | 19 Comments »

There was a time, not long ago (because I am still young) during the 1990’s, that Little Miss Faddy was a Nerd with a capital N. While everyone was busy maturing one way or another, I was still tightly wrapped around my little toys and gadgets, playing with boys as one of them.

This post is a tribute to some of the old school gadgets and games that I used to play day in and day out, in no specific order whatsoever :) Do you have any specific memories tied to them as well? hahaha… Ok? Go!

1) Contra!

I cannot possibly count how many hours I spent on this game, I tell you. I used to sit around at my mom’s shop a lot when I was younger, and there was this shop selling the 100 in 1 kind of console games outside. Since the owner and I have become buds, I would camp outside and play Contra like crazy eveyday! *Puffs chest* Completed all levels, thank you!

Marina Barrage (in the day).

Mr. Gelojoh Bin Pelokek

It was a pretty (hot) day and I had some time to burn before my meeting in the evening. On my endless nudging, Haikal agreed to accompany me to Marina Barrage as I have never been there in the day, while he has never been there at all. Looking at the sunny weather, I thought it would a Grade-One day to prance around at said location, but…

It proved to be just too bloody hot! The sun was constantly shouting in our face and all the wind could do was to meekly caress our skin as a form of apology for the heat. It was like the moment I took off my sunglasses, the glaring light that bounced off the concrete white walls of the Marina Barrage penetrated my vision, totally blanking my sight :/

The Fartsy.

Last Saturday, I finally got to go out proper with my bestmanfriend, Kimmy, ever since he got into NS and I got myself a boyfriend (HAHAHA). We were supposed to have Nassy along as well but the girl backed out at the eleventh hour as she was not feeling up to standard. Take care hor, minah!

Anyway, I had an awesome time catching up with you, Kimmy! Thanks for treating me to watch the play at the Esplanade, for paying for the cab, for sending me back to my bus stop and providing me with the 1001 entertainment shits I needed throughout the day.

You are awesome with a capital A, bestmanfriend :) It’s been good all the way knowing you for 8 years and counting.

My Neighbourhood at Night.

Posted: April 24th, 2009 | Author: faddy | Filed under: General | Comments Off

You know how some neighbourhoods are always full of sights and sounds even at night? Well, mine’s nothing like that. After 9pm, everthing seems to crawl to a standstill, save the odd vehicles entering in and out of the car park area.

Some like it that way – the peace and quiet – but for me, I yearn the buzz of a busier neighbourhood, like the one a few busstops away from mine. There is just something so unnerving about the silence that accompanies the shadows; every night I never fail to imagine things (be it man or not)  jumping out and scaring me to death, and no one is there to save me.

Last night for instant, I kept feeling like I was being followed. Every few steps I took, I would take a quick glance back or check out the morphing shadows following my feet, and finally, when I could take it no more, I ran up the stairs right up to my doorstep.

All these while, I kept imagining the unseen following me home, just like what happened to my colleague.

… Pfft! Me and my vivid imagination :/

The Sweet Things People Say :)

Posted: April 23rd, 2009 | Author: faddy | Filed under: General | Comments Off

To remind myself of the sweet things people say to me the past 7 days:-

Anz Kecique

And this girl is actually a very big eater now. Hehehe! No wonder she wears 1 size bigger then me. Nyahahahahaha!! You know what Faddy, I told bibik that you have grown into a very pretty girl. Bibik agreed with me & said you hitam manis. Stop being so low self esteem ok couzy.
Kimmy
Well I had fun, babe. Thanks for catching the play with me. Thanks for being there. Though our initial plan was to go on a cycling trip together with nassy. heh. yer know, we actually forgot to camwhore can.
Nassy
Faddy and Kimmy, you guys are missed by me. When was the last time we met? I can’t recall. When was the last time we camwhored together? Lagi I cannot recall! Haikal, I dono if I am allowed to miss you though but Bie, I miss you. HAHAHAHAHA BESOK AKU KENE SLAUGHTER DENGAN FADDY CONFIRM PLUS CHOP CHOP!
Haikal
From me to you. *censored* If my heart could speak, it will only voice out your name. Faddy, your presence volumes up the joy and laughter, the pain and the sorrow. Without you life is as good as black and white or nothing even. You are the colour and the texture. The contours  and tone. You paint my life a masterful artwork. Where pain meets pleasure and where health is wealth. I love you, sexy, brainy, dumb-bimbo Faddy.
My mum
Wait for a while ok? Ibu cook rice for you to bring to work. You want fried chicken as well? *Faddy shakes head* Nevermind very fast, you wait, I fry now.

Hippy-Style.

Posted: April 22nd, 2009 | Author: faddy | Filed under: Love | Comments Off

Whenever our legs have fallen off during the weekends, Haikal and I will usually ‘end’ our walk at the outdoor waterfront performance area at Esplanade. I do not know how often they hold performances there, but it seems to me like it’s an every weekend thing.

Hmm maybe the endless supply of free music is the reason why Mats and Minahs like to lepak there. Us Malays and music? It’s like how bees are attracted to honey, yo! Kekekeke… In any case, if the more upbeat music outside turns you off, head inside the Esplanade to where the main entrance is and there should be another mellowed down performance happening.
