My aunt held a barbecue the other day at her condo to celebrate her sons’ birthdays (lucky kids got a Diamondback bike and a laptop (pri 2 and 5 kid) respectively… I jealous). Unfortunately the weather was not on our side as it was raining the entire time and everyone had to run from one shelter to another to get food / eat / get cake.
The kids however were oblivious to the downpour as they were making huge splashes in the pool (as if the rain wasn’t enough) from the moment we arrived till mere minutes before we got home. Whilst the parents mingled under the shelter, the few young adults got our butts wet sitting on the outdoor chairs whilst catching up and cracking silly jokes.
“Why is Vivo so big?”
“Because inside got Giant!”

For the first time in a long, long while, my family finally had a dinner outing together. That too, only because it was Mum’s birthday and I had practically harassed Dad into giving us all a treat :P Eh, free food leh, who don’t want? Wakakaka…
I think in many ways, the dynamics of our family has shifted into the positive mode ever since us three kids have grown up. Personally, I have started to be more vocal in sharing my stories, Fauzi has stopped being the irritating brat he used to be and Farhan has started to join our conversations. Mum too has started to tell us more stories about the goings-on in her life.

I have to admit that I am quite the glutton – I do not like to share my food. Thing is, I am always hungry (which explains my weight currently) and it drives me up the wall when someone whom I have offered to share my food with consumes half my fill.
That however, does not mean I am a selfish prick. Instead, my style would be to buy that person another plate instead so that I can have my own full share. The only reason why I am airing my above mentioned dirty laundry in public is because it is related to what Haikal did for me the other day :)

Hahaha it’s 830pm, and my mum made me turn off all the lights and fans because Earth Hour starts now. Since we are your typical Singaporeans, we could not bear the thought of not having our television and computer turned on (OMG WHAT WILL WE DO THEN?!)… but hey! At least we turned off all the other electronic devices hmmkay :P

Since I was thoroughly bored with my previous Wordpress theme, I had willingly spent the past three hours just looking around for free themes to modify. Finally found this current theme and thus am in the midst of tinkering around in order to personalize it to my needs.
So far, I kind of like it, save for the plain black header. Have got to change that as soon as possible… which is a big headache since I have no heads nor tails on how to even BEGIN doing that. hahaha! Nevertheless, I shall perservere.
In any case, if any of you sees any broken codes (or suggestions) etc, do drop me a comment to inform me aight :) Thank you very much and God Bless!

Ever since I managed to borrow my director’s Nikon D200 a couple of months back and took wonderful shots with it like the above, I switched camps. From knowing nothing about Nikon, I love Nikon so much that for my Bangkok trip (next week yahoo!), I am actually renting a Nikon dslr to take photos with kekeke…

Recently, Nikon upped it again by launching MyPictureTown, a photo+video sharing website. Yes, although there are tons of other such websites in the internet, MyPictureTown is unique because it allows one to upload in RAW. That’s right, RAW. I’m sure you DSLR owners are salivating right now hahaha.
And for ‘normal’ photographers like us who are too poor to own a dslr, MyPictureTown is awesome because it allows one to categorize photos into many different albums while providing a sleek professional interface for FREE. Kind of like combining two of the best sharing sites I used before :)

To top it off, if you sign up now, Nikon will provide you with:-
- A chance to win US$2000 for your Dream Getaway!
- Free upgrade to a 20GB account
- Nikon will donate $1 to the Singapore Children’s Society
Head over to Nikon MyPictureTown now to enjoy the above benefits before it’s too late, yo! And for those who might have some problem uploading photos, just clear your cache and follow the step by step instructions that Haikal has nicely written for you after the break :)

Taken from my Brother’s Blog (and translated):-
Surprised my mom with a cake just now.
And these are her reactions:
“EH WHAT’S THIS?!”
“DON’T TAKE PHOTO LAH!”
“I WANT TO WATCH TV”
blows the candles;
“Thank you Thank you”
cut the cake;
goes back to her room,
“Thank you ehhh”
HAHAH SO FUNNY.

ANTI CLIMAX
My bro woke up(sis woke her up), sang(mumbled) bday song and went back to bed.
COOL STUFF
My mom’s name, Habibah, is cool stuff.
If you rearrange the letters from the last letter to the first, it will still be the same.

I am feeling rather upset with things and I’m just gonna do a little random ramble to get things off my chest, so please bear with me…
The Bad
I understand that one’s rezeki (wealth) is in the hands of God, that He can choose to give and to take it all away as and when He chooses. I understand the whole notion behind that, but I guess I am but human and I cannot help but feel very disappointed when my very dream escapes from my grasp mere days after I had it in hand.
I think everyone could do with not giving others false hope and promises, when on your end you are just making assumptions that you can deliver. When the person on the receiving end has been praying every single day for it to happen, and you said that you are going to make it happen, I feel that it is unfair that you just call and say “Sorry, not gonna happen.“
Today, I know how it feels like to be laughed and jeered at by a group of people, none of whom are close enough to me to be given the ‘Make fun of me, I know you still love me’ tag. It. Really. Really. Hurts.
The Good
Haikal has been my rock for the past few weeks. He has been making me laugh when I needed a smile, he has been giving me words and advises that helped pull me out of this rut that I am in, he has been accompanying me to the places I need to go and he has definitely been making an effort to join me in my quest for change. I love you Bie… I feel like I finally have someone who understands me, and is willing to do so much for me. Thanks for being there all the time :)
I have been doing a lot of soul searching lately, alot of reading, alot of understanding. Change, I feel, cannot be done overnight. It might take days, weeks, months and perhaps even years. But all I can say is that I know deep inside that I have taken a step in the right direction and I am doing my best to keep it up, InsyaAllah. Ten days and counting, Alhamdulillah :)
My Mum turns 53 in thirty minutes time. I have bought a cake from Cadele, and it’s sitting silently in the fridge waiting to be devoured at the stroke of midnight to a Mum clad in pyjamas (so sexy haha). Hope she’ll like it!

My darling Peah Totot turned 21 last Saturday and upon knowing that she will be having NO celebrations whatsoever as the university kids are all busy like a bee with projects and papers now, her boyfriend could not take any leaves from work and her beloved Dad is overseas, Atikah and I decided to give her a small surprise in the morning.

With $8 worth of Post-Its, ninety minutes of pasting and countless stares and questions from random strangers, we transformed her simple red and white Fino scooter to a mish-mash of hot neon colors, breaking the monotony of the bleak gray concrete all around!
