2009 Resolutions (5 of 10)

As part of the company’s perks, every month I get to have a Corporate Fitness First membership at $50 while the company injects in another $100. With this membership, I am given access to all Fitness First clubs and all the classes that they are having. With so much interesting things in line, you would imagine that I spend a lot of time in there but noooo…
Well, at least that has been the case since I was in that depression period in the month before Ramadhan and up till December 08. Feeling down and out, crying randomly throughout the day, gym was the last thing in my mind. Even though things got better during Ramadhan, my membership had been frozen as well, it was Ramadhan. When Syawal came, I was too busy gluttoning up. Then when December said hello, I was practically sick the whole month.
A few days back, I shuddered when I look at my flabby tummy in the mirror, and wistfully wished that it would somehow become flatter. It struck me there and then that wishing mirrors belong only to fairy tales and not in the real world… and OH! NO WONDER IT’S NOT GETTING FLATTER.
As a blogger friend of mine once chanted, “We must! We must! We must not be a bus!“. Lunchtime gym sessions twice a week is the official prescribed medication for me!
