I wish I knew how to do coding for Wordpress, so that I can tranform this awesome web design I spent the entire day doing into an actually working website, without having to pay hundreds for the conversion :(

One Yegg Prata!
Earlier in the day, whilst we were making plans on where to go, I had stressed it to Haikal that no matter the location he chose, “Watching Solar Eclipse” must be included into our plans. He cracked his brains for a good location which wouldn’t have that many people since I am rather claustrophobic (leceh eh aku), and came up with Kallang – spot on!

Mat Simen-Simen.

Seconds before doing a backflip down. Serious tak bedek.
For those of you who have made your way to the National Stadium, you would have crossed this road which is full with huge lorries or cement trucks etc. While we were walking, Haikal mentioned in an offhand manner that we should climb into one and take photos for keepsakes.
He was rather taken aback when I agreed, and gave me 1001 reasons why we should not do it, but I guess since I pretty much challenged his Ego by going POK POK KEH POK POK KEH (complete with flapping wings) which made him clamber up the nearest cement truck he saw kekeke.
Cheap thrill betul climbing up and down lorries whilst trying to avoid being in the line of sight of the security guard hahaha!

Need a container? Call Lian Cheng Contracting!

Yes, he really jumped in.
So we did that all the way till we got to the big Kallang shopping mall (forgot la the name) – jumping into containers, climbing up trucks, and I even got too overexcited that I wanted to climb over a fence and take pictures at an abandoned old-school hut (lucky Haikal bitch slapped me back to reality haha).

Climbing… Climbing…

And I’m in!
The whole area was just so damn quiet like *krik krik* quiet, so to me, the girl with a deprived childhood, it was like a huge playground! Best tau best tau! And no, actually I did not climb over the Stadium fence, there were like holes so can just walk in… I did want to climb INTO the stadium itself (as in the field) but Haikal walked away and ignored my calls of POK POK KEH.
Lucky his ego is smaller then his brains hahahaha.

What? Makan Per? Wow!
Upon entering the Kallang Mall, the overbearing heat and humidity outside made me have a huge craving for Coffeebean (saja je kasi alasan nak makan salmon ceasar calad yum yum!) so whilst waiting for the solar eclipse timing to arrive, we chilled there eating and drinking and camwhoring (since all other shops were closed).

Soccer time!
When 430pm came, we walked over to the huge grass area next to the Kallang River, laid a mat in the middle and start feeling-feeling like Bangladeshi workers kekeke. But luckily, we were the only ones around so it was so damn fun! The huge green + yellow grass area, the breeze coming from the waters, and the sun right above us!

And then I felt stupid for a while because, before we left for the grass area, I was so hyped about watching the eclipse that I bought a tray to fill up water in so we can see the reflection of the sun in it. It was only after setting up, that I realized aluminum trays reflect light pretty well, so as you can see above, I cannot see no reflection of the sun -.- Baik kepe!

Can see the eclipse?

Nah close up for you!
So when the eclipse came, Haikal and I resorted to squinting our eyes and looking directly at it – something we will never do again. How my eyes hurt! But it was all worth it, Subhanallah :)
Actually I expected the area to be dark and whatnot, but I guess because in Singapore it is only a partial eclipse, the area was still as brightly lit as ever and the Ah Pek whom I shouted to “Uncle! Eclipse! Eclipse! *pointpoint*”, looked at me like I was crazy because he could not see anything different.

Nice right the grass?!

Cartwheels! In vast open spaces! I like!

Placing the camera on the tree using the Joby Gorilla pod – love it!
So there in the middle of the field we played with our soccer ball, the air-gun-thingamajig we bought for $4, with our Lomo Oktomat etc (whilst at the same time dodging dogs playing with their owners) whilst the breeze carried our laughter and screams into the air.

I really had an awesome time with Haikal, and the weather was just Ace :) Was just glad that I spent such a special day with the boy whom I love most, doing the things we love to do. Chet, mushy nye aku! Wakakaka~

Last Sunday, my family and Anz’s family finally managed to gather together to have a dinner treat by yours truly in celebration of my very first bonus (less is still better then nothing, Alhamdulillah). I gave them the freedom of choice location-wise, and it was decided by the elders that we were to dine at Simpang Bedok – a popular food stop for many Malays.
In truth, after what I sampled that night, I think the ‘greatness’ of the food here is really exaggerated as nothing tasted really darn good. For example, the Otah Seller haughtily promised us a refund for his Otah Power. Under our watchful eyes, my cousin meekly gave him a thumbs up out of courtesy (the Otah was too salty for our tastebuds) as we had ordered quite a number and it would be a pity if he had to refund us.

The rest of the food like the satay, fish dishes, spring chicken too were average, and I can safely say that I have tasted better (though I can’t recall where haha!). Nevertheless, the cousins and I had fun making fun of stuff, doing silly nonsense and telling stupid jokes… One of which :-
Q : On which part of your body can you find Mickey Mouse?
A : On this *points* knee (disney)!
LOL. The things these youngsters have in their head these days. Love you cuzzies :)
* * * * *
On a different note, I would like to apologize if my entry yesterday had offended some people because to me, it was just a piece of ‘news’ I thought would be interesting to share. Also, since the picture was censored, I did not think much of it because you can see that much a view when you are at the beach or even looking out your kitchen window into the flat opposite.
Heck, even Bangladeshi workers now change in public (full monty) at the outdoor showers at Sentosa, according to my colleague who was there during the Chinese New Year holidays. Furthermore, I did warn you beforehand that it was for mature audiences and judging by the entry title, you should know what you are getting yourself into, yes?
Whatever my reasons, if the post still offends you, I apologize. ‘Twas not my intention to spoil your breakfast / lunch / dinner, really.

Dear Eddy,
If the ‘Indonesian Blogger’ you are referring to is who I think you are referring to, can we PLEASE go fly over sometime in the last quarter of the year? I don’t care if she allows us or not, we are going to bang her door down or taunt her with lizards or cockroaches (you hold them though kekeke) till she agrees :)
Shall we shall we shall we shall weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

On the 21st of January, my colleague Zarina (not to be confused with the ‘perfect’ blogger) turned 31. As she is one of those in the office who always has to put up with my daily out-of-tune singing, my tears when I was down, and my not-funny jokes, I decided to do something more for her…

In a bid to escape from having to play bowling since I find it a waste of money (as all my balls end up in the gutter), I managed to divert Haikal’s attention to doing a different activity that I thought would at least give me my money’s worth.
As we were around Jurong East area, the only other ‘attraction’ was the Science Centre. Since we have only just visited Science Centre itself less then a few months back, the only choice left for us was the Omni Theatre, which was having a screening of a documentary titled “The Alps“.

I love watching documentaries! So yeah, I pretty much enjoyed the film as well as the whole super wide screen experience that Omnimax brings :) For example, when the scene is taken from a high altitude and starts to zoom in onto the peak of a mountain, it felt as if I myself was in a helicopter being brought closer to that peak. Uber cool, yo!

Also, for those not in the know, the Science Centre Observatory is open to public every Friday evening to night time. I am not sure of the exact timing and details, so google it up yourself hehehe!
On a sidenote, I remember one of my ambitions when I was younger was to be an astronaut, just because I completed this Science Badge thing – “I am a little astronomer!” hahahaha! Man I miss doing those things… I think I completed almost all the badges!

Dear friends, readers and enemies alike,
Please understand that there is a reason as to why I did not publish the real names or blog url involved in the “Bitchy Time” entry below. If it is not apparent enough in the third last paragraph, I wish naught to release the exact details of the people involved for the very fact that I have never been maligned or wronged by them, so I feel that there is no need for me to point a hundred over people to their direction (all of whom will pretty much already have ill-fitting views about them).
By doing thus, it will effectively meant that I have gossiped about them to a hundred over plus people just by typing one entry. Kau imagine berapa banyak dosa that will have brought me?
So, please, stop sms-ing, msn-ing, facebook-ing or email-ing me asking for further details because you ‘have the right to know’ or ‘everyone needs a gossip’ or things to that effect. Bottom line is I am not telling. Kau nak merajok ke, nak boycott blog aku (or aku) ke, asal kau bahagia hehe.
Ok? Understood?
K everyone let’s go out and enjoy since it’s Chinese New Year. For those not in the know, there will be an eclipse happening sometime between 430pm to 6pm today :) So go watch eclipse instead of pestering me to divulge the details… it’s kind of getting annoying already (sorry heeheeheee jangan maraaahh).
