As a solution to end all our silly arguments happening consistently the past few weeks, Haikal and I had a no holds barred talk and as mentioned, we managed to come out stronger then before, Alhamdulillah. As a ‘peace offering’ (hehe), he decided to take charge in planning our 10th Monthsary.

In the morning, he had woken me up and told me to dress light as well as to bring along the straw mat that we had collectively bought to use during our outings. Being told this information, I had already assumed that we were heading to either the Botanic Gardens or any of Singapore’s beaches. And I was right on the dot, as he gleefully ushered me into the park.

However, this was after he surprised me under my block with a lone stalk of a ‘flower’ which had a Ferrero Rocher inside. Although some of you might think that it was ‘cheapo’ or whatsoever, to tell you the truth I was so damn happy upon receiving it that I was smiling from ear to ear :D

Why? Cuz Haikal has never given me chocolates, or flowers, as a gift. HAHA. So anyway, there I was prancing around with the stalk, waving it around and around, and there he was smiling sheepishly trying to make me keep it as he was embarrassed. Kekeke… It was all so cute, I tell you.

I have to say I am dead impressed (and SO in love haha) by the end of the day. Not only did he cook for me, brought the drinks and the glasses (even lugging a whole bag of ice to chill the drink), and did all the planning, he even brought a fan and an umbrella just in case it’ll get too hot!

Also, when asked why he planned such an outing, he said that he wanted to recreate our first monthsary. Awwwwwwww~ Where else can I find such a man tehehehehehe :)

So yeah, I had the best day ever all thanks to this begedil. The best things in life don’t have to burn a whole in your pocket. All it needs is a little effort and lots of sincerity :)

And THAT is why whenever any of you email/msn/sms me for suggestions on what to do during a date, I am more likely to mention off the path itineraries as compared to restaurants or hangouts. And if you come back to me and tell me that my suggestion sucks and you guys didn’t have a great time, all I have to say is, I had fun and if the situation is a ceteris paribus, we all know that the only changed factor, is YOU.

Woah. I think that’s the bitchiest thing I have EVER written on this blog hahahahaha.
