Ala-ala Camping.

Quite some time back, since I was so damn bored with the normality of life, I managed to psycho the boyfriend into doing something just for the cheap thrill that it may bring. $20 in hand, we ransacked Beach Road and bought all the silly little camp-ish things; messtins, hexamine tablets and a little portable stove, amongst others.
Then we headed to Giant (the hypermarket) and bought all the nice-to-cook, good-to-eat stuff, like packets of Maggi, a tin of Campbell soup, a whole tray of eggs and such. After rolling out our mats on the grass (at East Coast lah, where else kan?), we started our little ‘adventure’.

Fast forward to a wonderful crisp sunset, we sat side by side enjoying the sea breeze and our fruits of labor, giggling about all the improvisations we did, such as making a curry-flavoured omelette with the leftover eggs and sachets of curry powder from the Maggi.
Haikal and I enjoyed the session so much so that we decided to do it again sometime soon when we have more cash in hand. Because, this time round, we’re going to buy a disposable bbq pit and more tools to do a proper meal, to the likes of smoked Salmon or something. Kekeke. Cakap macam paham.
The only regret I had that day was bringing my camera… but forgetting to bring the memory card. Kua Kua Kua~ How silly can one get, I ask you?

On a personal note, I think that all couples should go out and do something exciting together once in a while, rather then the usual shopping-dinner-movie date in Town. I’m thankful the boyfriend gives in to my weird whims and fancies, because really, I abhor doing the aforementioned activity. Truth be told, I’d rather remain single and lonely if my boyfriend’s idea of a perfect date is the Town Date, actually. There’s more to life than getting your eyes glued on a huge screen and walking on the same pavement, looking at the same old clothes and people, week in and week out.
And I think, doing something more out of the way during a date makes it seem like you’re putting in more effort. To add on to it, engaging in an activity which is not in the likes of ‘normality’ helps you to learn more about your partner. Like for example, Haikal is the better cook between the both of us, and I’m the obsessive-compulsive cleaner, putting away tools and rubbish everytime so much as a minute clutter appears.
Bugger still can laugh at me, “Haha bie you dah pass jadi housewife. Sikit-sikit nak kemas!”
So yeah, go grab your other halves and do something different once in a while. Who knows what kind of new things you’ll learn about him/her in an alien situation? Perhaps you’ll both come out of it with renewed interest with each other kekeke. Now I sound like some preachy advocate.
As for myself, I’m cracking my brains on what to do next, something that begins with the letter “H”, which Haikal and I have been stuck on for weeks now. Susah, man. Hmm…

H? go hiking?
i think its normal for the girl to be the ‘obsessive-compulsive cleaner’ cos the other time when i was over at you-know-who’s house for lunch (cos he was broke and he decided to cook me lunch as an alternative choice), he just dumped all the periuk pinggan mangkuk pat sink. abe dah habis masak tak wipe the area properly and stuffs. tak senonoh.
i cant wait for friday. gagagagagagagagagaga. :D
haha I HAVE been thinking of hiking but at singapore, hiking mana seh? kekeke.. kesian kau panggil dia tak senonoh. confirm member sedih :P
H is for haircuts - cut each other’s hair!! Bwahahahaha.

hahax!! oh my! the mesttins pics really caught my eyes la. I cant forget camp that i have to brush that stupid mesttins smpi kilat giler2.. hahax!! Anyway, so fun to do stuff like that uh.. hehe!!
hahaha we DISPOSED the messtins so i think that makes it more fun. tak payah cuci2 semua ekkeke..
Hunting? For little, interesting knick-knacks? There’s the little street bazaar things around the island over the weekends. If you’re a child of the 80s, 90s, it’s like a trip down nostalgia lane because of all the little toys from that era.
oh yeahhh! there’s one at clarke quay, right? ke dah tutup?
hahaha yeah i know. the last time i suggested camping to the bf, he gave me this look as if hes doing a sum in his head and went, but what if you need coke in the middle of the night?
HAHAHA. tell him boleh call for mcdonalds delivery :P
