Peah Turns Twenty!

Knowing that one of my closest friends ever, Peah, was to turn 20 yesterday, I had long since decided to spring a surprise on her. My initial thoughts was to just turn up at her doorstep with a cake in hand, but then I decided that perhaps a party isn’t really a party with only one guest :)

So I called upon these two buggers and luckily both were free to make an appearance. It’s been eons since we last met collectively, so that was an added bonus for the birthday girl. After making the card under her block, greeting her parents at home (at like 9am in the morning, mind you), we sneaked into her room and awakened her with an ear-shattering rendition of “Happy Birthday” :)

And because I’m kind of banned to post up the video I recorded (Does all this sound familiar? Kekeke…), the following are some screen captures!

It was hilarious when the girl woke up and went “I was dreaming that I was having a holiday in Chinaaaaa“, and then kept prepping up her hair hahaha. Vainpots will always remain vainpots, I say!

We proceeded to lounge on her bed, eating, drinking and catching up on lost times. Whilst we were in the middle of an engaging conversation, Ikah mentioned that we have really grown up and our subject of conversation can be an evidence.

Previously, she said, the main topic of conversation back when we were in secondary school would be Boys, Boys and Boys. However, currently, our conversations were most likely swirling around the topic of Money - savings, financial independence, helping out with financial household matters and things to that effect. After she said that, I kept a tab on what we were talking about, and boy, it was true!

I guess money does speak volumes when one grows older :/

So anyway, I had a truckload of girly fun with my Totots and the day further concreted my love towards them :) 4 years travelling down the same highway and 3 years after separating ways into different paths, it’s cool how we’re all still the same deep inside.

Love you Totots! And yes, Happy 20th Peah :) You’ve gone a long way in the past year, and as your friend, I hope you continue taking steps forward. Hope you enjoyed our little surprise for you babe!
