G is for Games!

After taking a tremendously long break from our Alphabet Weekends due to financial constraints and the onslaught of the lazy bug, the boyfriend and I decided to resurrect the program. This time, we decided to make it an own time own target thing :P
To kick off the program, we got our best mate, Fitree, to be the invited guest kekeke. Thing was, we wanted to play some old-school games so naturally the more headcount, the better. Unfortunately, Sandy (Fitree’s girlfriend) was working in the day so she could only join in later at night.

Upon reaching East Coast, we were quite dismayed to find that the morning downpour has yet to halt. Settling down in the nearest vacant shelter, we proceeded to have our packed lunches on a straw mat. Old school or what! Kekeke.. And thus, after making friends with an Ahpek and his wife who gave us plentiful snacks, we officially began Alphabet Weekends - G is for Games!

The first game that we played was Jenga and boy, did I have so much fun or what! For those of you not in the know, Jenga is very much like Uno Stacko, where the aim is to remove blocks from the existing tower and to put them on top, creating height. The person whose actions cause the tower to collapse would thus be the designated loser :)

Thus, you shouldn’t be surprised that the loser was me hahaha! (Ok I didn’t collape ALL the towers, but rather the one that we managed to gain the most height - 36 levels in total!).
To tell you the truth, after such a long time not seeing this game anywhere, I was ecstatic when the boyfriend said that he had brought it along. There’s something about childhood games that make nostalgia such a sweet thing to live by.

The next game on our plates (or rather, the straw mat) was UpWords and man, I think we suck hahaha. After a few minutes into the game, everyone collectively gave up and we just threw our tiles together and helped each other out hahaha. We tried playing it in Malay too, but that made the situation even worse I tell ya.

Some time in the day, the boyfriend furnished his Boomerang from his childhood days. After throwing it around successfully (him, not me and Fit haha), one of his throws got the boomerang into the sea. In a flurry of panic of losing his prized possession, he threw us the valuables from his pockets and rushed into the waters - tshirt and bermudas inclusive.
What followed suit was pure comic! Hahahaha. Please see the below .gif image to find out the reason why kekeke. (.gif, meaning it’s supposed to move haha)

Undoubtedly when he returned soaked like he had just taken a bath, Fitree and I did not spare him and was laughing ourselves silly, wishing that we had recorded it on video. Luckily the boy himself was amused and followed suit laughing, heh :P You’re so selenger, Bie!

Afterwhich, my two boys do what boys do best (play soccer) whilst I do what I love best, reading. With the sound of laughter in the air accompanied by jazz tunes from the handphone, whilst the breeze did its thang, the atmosphere was really top notch!

By 5pm, we left East Coast and got back to our favourite hangout, Arab Street. Eating sandwiches at Mosi Cafe, sheeshaing at Al-Majlis, roaring over rounds of Jenga, Bluff and 7-level Pig and finally being able to meet Sandy, it was a perfect ending to a very wonderful day :)
