Since Ashrithaa (also famously known as Indian Rhino) was the first amongst the three of us to reach the big Two-Oh, we decided to finally meet up after eons of time apart and God, how I miss my two buggers. To me, we’re the perfect poster girls of racial harmony; we get to make racist jokes about each other without the other feeling miffed. Heh.

Friends since secondary school, it’s safe to say we’ve been through much shit together (my fault, haha!). I guess, we kind of grew up together. From the two of them being really fat and chubby in the past and myself being the skinny and fit one, the tides have changed fast forward around 7 years later :P Seriously, everyone’s turning anorexic or bulimic these days and I’m eating 1 1/2 portions of rice for lunch. Buh.

Location chosen was Hard Rock cafe as Claire was really all geared up to watch the live band playing every Friday. To avoid the cover charge after 10pm, we scuttled in around 7pm and sat there till around 11pm heh.

Although I admit that it was quite awhile, I personally thought it was rather rude of the staff who kept asking us every 5 minutes if we were done and whether they could clear our table. No really, you mean it’s so hard to just let us enjoy our food in peace when there’s like dozens of empty tables around and no queue outside?

Before and after the food, we presented to her the 20 gifts we had came up with. From a toy rhino with an “Indian dot” (Indian Rhino, haha!), to a beaker, cards and even a whole big bag of fruits, everything we bought or came up with had a certain significance to us three. It was really damn hilarious to watch her reaction when opening all 20 gifts, although she did admit it got very tiring towards the end :) Worth it though, right Rhino?

As for the live band which Claire was raving about, I have to admit they were really rather good; Claire and Ash were practically dreaming away listening to the lead singer, haha! Ash even said she wouldn’t mind marrying just having listen to his voice -.-

One thing though, I’m pretty sure he was in a season of Anugerah once. Hmm… Anyone care to clarify this? Kekeke…

Soon it got pretty late and we left, cursing taxis whilst getting disgusted by many old ahpeks and skanky prostitutes along the roadside. The two buggers finally got a cab TWO seconds after calling, and I finally managed to get home by take the Night Rider 5… a good 2 hours plus later. So much for world class public transport, ey?
