The Perfect Future.

It is in my opinion that everyone has their own definition of a perfect future for themselves. Some achieve it, some don’t. Nevertheless, I think everyone has the right to just dream of it, maybe work towards it and perhaps relish in the fact that they at least tried their best into converting that dream into a reality to live in.

Due to the many variations of human personalities, I think that the type of future that everyone dreams of can really vary a lot. For some, it could be being the CEO of a multi-national, multi-billion and many other multi-s company. For others, it could be opening a charity and live simply in order to help others achieve their dreams.

In the hustle-bustle of a country like Singapore, I guess it’s safe to say that for many, being financially rich would be one of the biggest determining factor of the perfect future. For many of my friends, the perfect future would be owning a lucrative business so they can live life easy. But when it comes to finance, we all know that you have to WORK for it.

Thus, what if, the whole shiznass of finance is abolished and you’re able to do whatever you want without worrying of the costs? Pushing aside the downfall of nations and worldwide chaos due to an economic standstill, what would you be doing?

For myself, the possibilities are endless. Without the burden of costs, I think a whole lifetime wouldn’t be enough for me to tick every check box I would have drawn up. But I guess, essentially, the following would be what I’d be chasing after in general:-

I would of course, be travelling around the world whilst celebrating my keen interest in photography. Hopping from one country to another and learning and immersing myself in different lifestyles and cultures. Somewhere along the route I would have learnt how to play the Gambus (or Oud) and be able to perform for friends I’ve made. With a notebook in hand I’d write to share my experiences with others around the world about the people I’ve met and the places I’ve been to. I guess, to have seen much of God’s creations and not share it would be but a selfish act :)

But then of course, it would just be a dream even with the finance matters aside, due to family commitments etcetera etcetera, haha. Oh well, a girl can dream of the perfect future, can she?

What’s your definition of a perfect future for yourselves?

Hmm.. That’s actually a tough one since there’s so many things I want to do if given a chance and finance wasn’t a factor. I would love to do my postgrad work, branching out to a different field. Travelling for my work, meeting new people and experiencing new things. I would love to get a novel published.

Though, above all else, if the world would be perfect, I would more than love to be a stay at home mom, taking care of my children and the house. That would be absolutely perfect. :)

Money didn’t stop me from anything, i would own houses all around the world just to house orphans in need of a place to stay. But then again, if that were the case for everyone. Then they wouldnt really need my help. My perfect future would actually (as corny as it sounds) to just be happy, with or without the monetary extras.
