Team Missfits!

Last Sunday, Team Missfits held our first training session at NTU and thank God, I think it went smoothly. Although turnout was approximately about two-thirds of the names we gathered, it was STILL enough to make 2 teams! That’s alot of names, actually. I think we kind of went overboard with the recruiting process, heh.

But then again, there’s always the factors like people not turning up or worse, not even appearing at all, so I guess having more is better then having less. This way, we’d always be able to play games! Which was, of course, our motive in holding the sessions :)

Back to the ‘training’. Personally, it took me only a few minutes into the session to make me realize how GREATLY out of touch I am with my physical fitness. Coming to think of it, the last time I really exercised was back in JC1. That’s like… what? 2 years back? It’s thus no great surprise how these spare tyres *pokes self* have developed.

Hence, to add on to my #1 new year resolution, is new year resolution #2 – Get rid of spare tyre and get back my abs! Hmm, that sounds like last year’s resolution HAHA. To make myself feel better, I feel this resolution can be achieved due to the fact that I already have a fixed exercise regime in place. Yes… yes… perfectly achievable kekeke.

As for the team’s training, I felt that even though some of us know naught about one another initially, everyone seemed to get along well and the dynamics were good. A simple survey at the end showed that everyone who were present would return next week, work/personal commitments aside. So, yeah great!

In summary, I had fun playing netball and I hope the rest did too. Sometimes I feel that too much pressure really kills the joy of the game (or yeah, and that I cannot commit when I’m forced hahaha)! Hope to see all the members attend this coming Sunday’s session ey :)

P/s. Anyone has any feedbacks, please feel free to leave a comment here or contact Ikah aight!
