Silly Dance Trends.

During the past 20 years of my life, I recall myself, along with millions of others throughout the whole wide world, playing victim to several catchy meaningless songs up till feverish levels. To add salt to the wound, such songs were even tagged on with even sillier dance moves which everyone seemed to find cool!

At the peak of the trend, this lethal combination of song and dance when mastered would make even the dorkiest of dorks fit into society. No kidding, man. Remember the ever popular Las Ketchup song? Or how about the Macarena? Kekeke…

Quite recently, the boyfriend started singing this stupid little line and jiggling his ass to a repetition of tunes that I couldn’t take it anymore and finally succumbed to enquiring (which I did come to regret of course, because now I have to express interest in it all the time hehe :P).

Busy Busy!

Looking at my schedule for February and seeing so many appointments all lined up, I foresee February to be a very, VERY busy month. Birthdays of loved ones, holidays, signing up for weekly classes and such are but a few of what activities I’ll be indulging in. Busy busy busy! Even the work load at FAE has increased. Stress beta!

Things are starting the right way so far for this year, I guess. One, I’ve drawn out a financial plan. Two, I’ve finally found a weekly religious class that I’m not dragging my feet to. And three, I think this thick skull finally understands the essence of time management and am now currently trying her very best to proportionate her time properly (struggling to, actually).

Tough work, I tell you. I hope I can pull through this unscathed… Hmm…

(Wow, I think I sound rather adult in this post wakakakaka.)

To be a shadow.

Wouldn’t it be nice to be a shadow, to not have an appearance and thus not be judged? Or would life just be a bore without all the different colors that are at present?

The best age to pass on.

The other day at my Gramp’s, my aunt was relaying the news to us that one of her friend’s wife had passed away whilst performing the pilgrimage in the holy city of Macca. Grandpa suddenly piped in and said, “I have been praying that I end my life there and yet she, who’s much younger, got the blessed opportunity.

What struck me more was that Grandpa is already considered to be part of they greying community and yet, even with all his sickness, he’s still here. That lady was only in her early forties (I think) and yet she has already been called to the meet the Creator.

Friends.

Sometimes, the best kind of friends don’t meet up every single day or even weekly. They are the ones you can rely on even with the distance :) I feel and know I am very blessed to have friends who really pick me up when I am feeling like shit, even after weeks or even months of not being in contact.

Like Fara :) I never thought I’d say this because I’ve always thought we would never get along due to our vast differences, but babe, you proved me wrong and I apologize. Thank you for that call last night to check on me. It really, really cheered me up. *hugs*

Pride.

Dear not-so-little Brother,

As your kakak I am so damn proud of your O level results. Although they are still a little short of mine (HAHA), looking at the different subjects we take and the whole average, I admit you are smarter then I am and will always have more sense in your head then I do. Also, I know you’re going to end up in a much better position then myself in the long run, because I can just see that quality in you and not myself.

You have matured tons within the past year and I am always proud to say that you are my younger brother. Thank you for always reminding me to do good and not repeat my mistakes, and thank you for actually listening to my advice and not doing those mistakes that I did. At least I felt that some good did come out of ME committing them in the first place.

No More Nuffnang for me.

A few weeks back I actually wrote that I was rather impressed with Nuffnang but as time pass, I shall eat back my words. (Yes, laugh, yes) Thing is, after giving me 2 weeks worth of advertisements, slowly the ads ran dry (as before) and since then I’m left with nothing.

I feel rather confused actually as Ming told me that the reason I wasn’t getting any traffic was due to my placement of the ads. However, after bringing it up and using the ’standard’ sidebar sized ads, it was still not meant to be even with factors counted in.

I still left the ‘badge’ there as I thought, hey, it’s free after all and I might even stand to gain someday. This was, of course, until the only two Southeast Asians blog advertising agencies decided to introduce Exclusivity.

Jealousy is…

…when you come home finding your dad gloating about his new Sony Ericsson k770i which you want but can’t afford when HE DOESN’T EVEN KNOW HOW TO USE IT (except for call functions). ARGH! *sulks*

Does your blog statistics matter to you?

For an ‘aged’ blogger like myself (and by ‘aged’, I mean one who has been blogging for yonks) and many others, seeing our traffic count rise up steadily throughout the years has always been a thrilling experience. I have to admit when my blog first reached the 100 unique visitors daily mark, I would log in to Statcounter every hour or so just to make sure the numbers would add up.

That, would be what I call obsessed and that, my dear readers, is very, very unhealthy. Besides taking up so much of my time, I became crazily attached to the numbers - “Oh no! Not a hundred! Why? What happened?“, reason being I loved the fact that 100+ people cared enough to read what I have to rant about and a dip in it hurt my ego real bad.

As weeks passed, the excitement gradually faded off when I realized that thousands of other blogs have the same number of readership, and for many, even reaching thousands. What I achieved is well… nothing. Until, the day Online Advertising came into my life, all exciting and enticing, like a whole new world to be explored.

Lomo Madness.

Since the brother joined some classes at the Photographic Society of Singapore and the Lomotion group, he has been coming home with many shots; digital and film. Some are good, some are normal but what’s for sure is that he has made my itch for photography return.

I really need to somehow get another Lomo (maybe the Action Sampler?) and one day, a DSLR to call my own. Money… money… money… Where art thou?
