Simply put - the people I work under/with :) If you must know, almost everyone in the above picture are my seniors but working with them has been such a blast that until now I am amazed that I have not thought of skipping work hahaha!

Due to myself having zilch experience in the shipping line, they had to teach me the ropes from the bottom and entertain my silly questions as well as point out my many mistakes, but not once throughout have they made me feel as if I’m stupid and I thank them for that. It’s only been a month plus, and yet I feel closer to these people then I have working with previous employments for 6 months.

Devi, my direct senior, even invited me to her Open House! I mean, really, to think that I’ve not been to any of my previous colleague’s houses nor went out with them even after knowing them for 6 months? Hahaha.

It was just a simple dinner of Ayam Penyet, amongst others, but it was worthwhile as we ended up mingling and getting to know more about each other as well as our families since some of them brought their children along. So cute, these kids! Apparently Devi’s daughter has a doll called BabyAlive which cost around $100+, and can eat, pee, sleep, poop and stuff. Amazing stuff, I tell you.

What’s more amazing is Devi’s house, which was facing the pool, had a patio around the size of my hall, and has an interior design fit for magazines. I didn’t capture much photos, hampered by the rather large crowd, but you GOT to trust my words hahaha.

And just today, we had an office Christmas party, my first one actually. I thought it would be a small key event, but seeing the HUNDREDS of gifts all lined up around the Christmas tree, I knew it would be no joke.

At the end of the day, I accumulated around 9 gifts in total, all Bodyshop products hahaha! Love those gifts, man! Actually, I feel rather bad for only getting them cupcakes which myself and Amin decorated, but oh wells, I really am freakin’ broke -.-|||

To add on to those gifts, someone from the team too offered to pay for my Hotel Xmas Dinner tab since I said I can’t afford it! Till this day I don’t know who it is, since she only coined herself as the Santarina hahaha.

Food catered too was in abundance; ranging from Sushi to Pasta, to Thai Noodles and even fresh scallops and oysters! I decided to give oysters another shot since everyone was raving about how the company’s boss imported it from France, and yum, I ended up returning for more and swallowed around 4? Hahaha! Damn good, I tell you!

Laughter was the theme of the day as everyone scuttled around opening gifts and commenting on others’, whilst cracking jokes, dancing, getting a shot at the lucky draw. The entire day, I didn’t get much work done as I was too busy getting fat, laughing my ass of, camwhoring and chit chatting. Heh.

So yup, as you can see, I really am satisfied with my current working environment so far :) Alhamdulillah I’ve found an employment that I don’t have to drag my feet to every single day. By the way, having an uber cute French boss doesn’t play a part, really hehehe.
