Time to get a new HP.

After 2 years serving me relentlessly day in night without much rest, I think my Sony Ericsson handphone, the k750i, is slowly waving the white flag - by choosing to peel off its buttons and reveal its white interior -.-|||

Since a few weeks back, I would suddenly wake up and find a button missing, or the phone experiencing a cardiac arrest (turns on and off by itself) and things to that effect. Many a times I had to perform CPR on it and whatnot. Sadly, I think with recent events, the phone is admitting defeat pretty soon :(

Need an MP3 Player?

A couple of weeks back, like angels bearing gifts for an early Christmas, Samsung, in collaboration with Ripplevox, revealed gifts from the heavens - the Samsung YP-T10 and the SBH-500. Stick to the end of the review and you too stand to receive a thing or two! It’s never wasted to read fingersdontfing.com, I say :)

Why I Love my Job II.

Sponsored by the Manager (my aunt) and the Assistant Manager, Siti, I was treated to a feast of sorts at the Carousel, a buffet restaurant at the Royal Plaza. There were plentiful food abound, from Rendang to Spaghetti, seafood, cold dishes, nasi ayam and much, much more.

Why I Love my Job.

Simply put - the people I work under/with :) If you must know, almost everyone in the above picture are my seniors but working with them has been such a blast that until now I am amazed that I have not thought of skipping work hahaha!

Due to myself having zilch experience in the shipping line, they had to teach me the ropes from the bottom and entertain my silly questions as well as point out my many mistakes, but not once throughout have they made me feel as if I’m stupid and I thank them for that. It’s only been a month plus, and yet I feel closer to these people then I have working with previous employments for 6 months.

Fly a Kite!

Once in a while, I tend to try to be philosophical and many-a-times I have to admit I fail in doing so. I guess, in many ways, I’m not really the kind who can think deep intellectual thoughts, preferring to take in many things as is and not take life too seriously :P But today, today I, Faddy, shall try and draw a metaphor. (Is that even a correct term?! Wakakaka!)

What I’ve came up with is that - Life is flying a kite. Hahaha! That’s as far as I can get when it comes to being philosophical. Quite sad, isn’t it? Heh.

Changi Airport T3.

Last weekend, the boyfriend and I postponed our Alphabet weekends due to family commitments. Since we had only a short while together and wanted to do something ‘exciting’ all the same, we ventured to Changi Airport’s Terminal 3 and were lucky that it so happened to be the last day for their open house.

Overall, I don’t think it’s all that it’s hyped up to be :/ Too bare and lacklustre, although the fact that most of the shops were not opened yet could be a major factor. Maybe I’m conditioned by the first two terminals that airports are supposed to be full of flowers, and colors. It just helps to lighten the mood abit, you know.

Following are some photos the boyfriend and I took:-

Pulau Ubin with the Totots.

This is SUCH an overdue entry but ah wells, like I always say, better late then never. Heh. It’s just that there’s an abundance of pictures to edit and I found it hard to find the time to sit down and work the magic of Photoshop. I don’t know why, but even without moving around much in the office I find myself zapped off any ounce of energy by 11pm nightly :/

Ah wells. Enough of complaining because in fact, I’m very thankful I’ve found a job which so far has not even made me think of grabbing a fake MC and that my colleagues are really the best colleagues I’ve had ever.

What makes you so sure?

11082i.jpg

For the past five months I have to admit that most of my days are spent in the company of the boyfriend; be it luxurious long days skipping around Singapore or just a short ride home together after work/school. It’s hard to blog about days as such as even though to me those days make the best days I’ve had in a long while, I’m sure re-runs of “We laughed all the way while walking home, talking about our days and such” could prove to be a bore one to you readers :P

Want to play netball?

For a long time, Peah, Atikah and I have been reminiscing about our netball days and I have to admit, it was the only sport that I enjoyed thoroughly and stayed on to the longest. Inspired by this, we have decided to set up a group for people like us, girls who want to have fun playing netball. We need SIX more people to make up the group of 14.
