Being one who keeps up with the blogosphere, I have to admit that the latest debacle over the Nuffnang issue was blown out of proportion until even I felt the heat. But because of a few events that spilled from one comment I made at Endoh’s blog, I can say that Ming, the company’s boss, has restored faith in me :)
In that comment I made, I mentioned that I was feeling cheated that even with a steady, decent number of unique visitors daily, I still wasn’t getting any ads at all. This, I thought, was rather puzzling as I noticed some blogs with less then half of my traffic had ads being served. To add on to that, I too mentioned the non-existence of the NIKE bag that I was promised for the one and only NIKE ad campaign that I served.
2 days later, I got a surprise in my inbox as Ming himself had emailed me (click on picture above to enlarge) to update me on the NIKE bag issue and the rest, as they say, is history. Through almost daily email correspondences, Ming has:-
- Clarified with me on why I wasn’t getting any ads. According to him, I had on the big banner, and not the sidebar one which the advertisers prefer and thus the system didn’t churn out my data. To add on to this advice, Ming even gave me the Clearasil ad campaign that you see running now on my big banner. (Now Enchanted)
- Expressed genuine interest in having lunch (and passing the NIKE bag) with myself as well a few other bloggers, but which at last didn’t work out due to our conflicting schedules. Yup, we’re all busy people here. haha.
- After much ping ponging back and forth on the schedules, Ming decided to invite me as a guest to the Enchanted movie preview (really good movie, by the way) so we can finally meetup.
So let’s summarize. From one comment I made, the big boss took it in his way to reply me though e-mail personally, and I got all that I wanted; the ad, the bag and even extra movie tickets on the side!
Now that I have installed the sidebar advertisement feature, I really hope Nuffnang can continue delivering advertisements my way :) Thanks Ming!
Good that you’re receiving a reply at least. I sent two mails dated 31st Oct and 18th Nov respectively and I received nothing.
Oh no, maybe Ming overlooked it -shrugs- maybe you can try again :)
You are guys are really wonderful. It is so easy to make you happy by giving you FREE items. Typical Singaporean. As long there is FREE items, then Majullah Singapura. If no FREE items then Matilah Singapura!
Your change of heart because of a few items and a bit of pampering from Ming provide a real good comic relief.
YAY I love free items :) Anyway, just so you know, i’m happy because Ming emailed me when I DIDNT email him, and I got a solution to my problem of scarcity of ads. with all my issues being addressed, of course I feel contented. Wouldnt you too? :)
