So basically the second week of my employment has passed and I have to say, it has been a wonderful experience thus far. The fact that I have finally broken away from call centers has been a much welcomed change and I think that I definitely prefer doing administration work then facing the onslaught of terrible customers screaming down the phone.
The Kingdom certainly delivers its promises in its trailers of an adrenaline pumping movie, and yet it has managed to bring out much more. I have to admit that the film, about the investigations of a terrorist bombing led by FBI officer Special Agent Fleury (played by Jamie Foxx), has definitely knocked my sense of distaste for war movies off the wall and has opened up a whole new genre of films for my viewing.
Being one who keeps up with the blogosphere, I have to admit that the latest debacle over the Nuffnang issue was blown out of proportion until even I felt the heat. But because of a few events that spilled from one comment I made at Endoh’s blog, I can say that Ming, the company’s boss, has restored faith in me :)
So Haikal and I are into the third week of Project Alphabet Weekends – the letter C. It was obvious that we both wanted to go cycling, an activity which we have enjoyed right from the start. Initially we planned to carry it out at Pulau Ubin, together with Fitree and my brother, but as the latter two dropped out at the eleventh hour, we turned to other options.
Well, as you guys might have realized, the past few days I have been busy adjusting to a new lifestyle; reentering the workforce and then there’s also the really high fever which I was down with.
Thankfully the dust has finally settled. After 2 days of rest and being taken care of marvelously by PB, I went to work all keen to learn the ropes and so far, I think, it has been not bad. Heh, I say not bad, because on our first official training, my colleague and I jammed all 3 printers in the office and the big boss had to get down on his knees to repair it HAHAHA. Talk about first impressions *slaps forehead*
Ok more about that soon. As for now, I *finally* present the Makan Kaki photos and commentary (though I think most of you have seen it over at Shaz’s). Hehe.

I don’t usually blog about stuff in the news, but hey, how can I not congratulate this young Malay lady who has managed to not only top the PSLE record with her 294 points (that’s like a whole 38 point difference from mine, man!), but also, whipped ass 17 years of unbroken record? Woohoo!
I know I’m being blablabla, but I can’t help feeling extra proud that she’s a Malay, that her family seems like a normal family (not some well to do, already souped up, really educated kind of family) and well, she’s a Malay :) It’s not always that we get to hear good stuff about our race in the news, and yeah well my tears welled up and I’m so proud!

Pardon me whilst I rest my head. Throwing up multiple times after meals, having a temperature of 40 degrees and a bangin’ headache just doesn’t sit well with this fragile body. Thank God the doctor gave me 2 days worth of MC.
And Thank God too, for the boyfriend who picked me up after work yesterday, made sure I was comfortable on the journey home, waited with me for my doctor’s appointment and sent me right up to my doorstep, making me feel like the luckiest girl on earth. I love you, bie.
Although I promised an entry with a shit load of photos, I’m afraid that’s just not gonna happen right now as I don’t have all the photos as of yet! Hehe… Makan Kakis, do your job – Pass around the URLs of your photos!

All in all, I had a super de-duper time! Thanks all for the combined effort, and especially Shaz, Aidil and Hana. Much loves! I REALLY am itching to head to KL with you guys in a month’s time :D
