Pardon the posts.

Hey Ho Kids! Sorry for the lack of ‘real’ posts, I’ve been rather busy at the moment, either trying to study, talking to Haikal, or helping out at Mum’s shop. Been breaking my fast there for the past two or three days, and I have to say, it IS an experience. Kekeke. Why, you ask?

Well, similar to Harry Potter’s 9 3/4 Platform at Kingcross, the family and I have been breaking our fast in the middle of Stall 2 and 3 at the Prime Market. With the tables open, an array of food laid out and us sitting in a circle chomping merrily away, it was as if we had our own warung (mini coffeeshop) all set. To tell you the truth, we even had one of the customers joining us when he mentioned he had not broken his fast.

The reactions we got from people walking by was damn hilarious lah. Some stared, some did a double take, others smiled or laughed and there were even a handful who stopped and asked what was the occasion, and therefore received a mini cultural exchange program right there. Kekeke. I can never not be amused just looking at their faces, I tell you!

As for myself you’d find me helping out at Mum’s shop on every Monday and Sunday, manning the Kueh-Kueh table, as they have a shortage of staff during this busy month of Ramadhan. How not to, when one stall sells poultry and spices, whilst the other sell Hari Raya clothes? Anyway the point is, I realize I love selling Kueh! Hahahaha.

The friendly exchange of words between myself and the consumers, playing peek-a-boo with the kids that towed along and whatnot, I found that the whole afternoon had blazed by in a matter of minutes. And to add to that, I too found that selling Kueh, as opposed to the person who makes the Kueh, is a more lucrative business.

Hmm… Should I add “Mak Joyah Jual Kueh” (Mak Joyah the Kueh Seller) as one of my future occupation? I think I have the looks and the makcik kpo behaviour all set. Kekeke….
