Aesthetic Upgrade.

Posted: August 28th, 2007 | Author: faddy | Filed under: General | 14 Comments »

If you’re sharp enough, you would realize that I have made a couple of aesthetic changes with regards to the site’s layout.

The sidebar has been scrubbed to rid of clutter and I have finally managed to rid the bug which screwed the archives. So if you’re bored, you can start accessing my old entries through the Archives (which is found on my sidebar).

As for all the links under my blogroll, I have removed them from the sidebar and instead, collated them into one page. This is because I have noticed that as my blog grew, so does the number of links I have and this had slowed down loading of the main page.

The aforementioned link page, along with other updated pages such as my introductions etc, are available underneath the banner, so you can start exploring that too!

And talking about banners, I have installed a code which would randomly change the banner image every time you access to the site. Special thanks to Uncle Sha, Haksmic and Mr Malique for the customized banners (in respective order)! Lovin’ it!

So far I am quite pleased with the changes that I have made, exluding the fact that:-

  • The plug-in which collates the Links into one page seems to dump everything in one muddled clutter. Anyone knows of any better plug-ins which will separate the links into different categories?
  • The sidebar shifts down to the bottom of the page everytime a single entry is viewed. Anyone knows how to correct this error? I understand it should be a width issue, but darn, I don’t know just which part of the template to adjust kekeke.

I am still trying to seek help in correcting these two errors and I have confidence they will be rectified by the end of this week, InsyaAllah. Meanwhile, have a look see around and share your opinions on what can be improved, or if you spot any errors.

Ey, a nicer looking Fingersdontfing equates to better reading experience for you, yes? :P
