Kukup Day 2.

Finally, I have some time on my hands to sort the pictures and do a proper entry on Day 2 of the Kukup trip. Heh, I know like at least 90% of you have read on how the rest of the trip went through Uncle Sha’s or Eddy’s blog, but hey, nothing wrong in adding more stories and pictures in your head right? Kekeke.
And so let us begin! A mini warning here; there ARE numerous pictures so please hold for a moment whilst everything loads yeah :)

Because of a certain lady sleeping next to me who stole my blanket and conveniently covered herself like a pocong, I woke up numerous times during the night freezing and wanting to get myself another blanket from the rooms.
However, since we freaked ourselves out with Ghost stories before we slept, I had to endure the cold and finally when I woke up at 630am, I saw Uncle Sha had gotten up and thus followed him out into our balcony overlooking the mangrove.

It was really a sight to behold, with flocks of birds gracefully gliding around and the sun just peeking from behind the clouds. Furthermore, the coolness and crispness of the morning air was just so invigorating, that LTS wanted to lead us in a round of Physical Education (which not one person did la. haha! Lazy asses we are!)
In fact, after the whole photography session (of the scenery and *ehem* camwhoring, of course), we were so lazy that we dutifully plopped ourselves back onto the mattresses, only to be awaken up by LTS. Ya, that’s the video she took which you saw in Part 1. Haha!

Later on in the day, we headed out to ‘town’ to grab our breakfast and each and every one of us were craving for Roti Prata (known as Roti Canai over at Malaysia) as we saw the above stall selling them the previous night. Ok it wasn’t called Mak Joyah’s Stall, I made that name up bwahaha!
Unfortunately, Mak Joyah’s stall had ran out of Roti Canais by the time we arrived, as with all the other handful of Muslim stalls. Serves us right for waking up late, wakakakka! I resorted to eating Maggi Mee Goreng again and thus after a scrumptious meal, the ‘adventure’ of the day began! Weee~

For RM$5 per head, we boarded this tourist-y ferry-ish boat, where we got a very, erm, touristy tour. A stop near a local village with an audio commentary given by the ferry ‘captain’ himself, and later on a stop at one of the numerous kelongs around the area.

It was ok lah, nothing spectacular. We saw fishes the size of a whale (big exaggeration, Faddy!), fishes which spouted water at hanging fishes for food, a turtle and crab-y creatures which were most probably feeling unhappy they were disturbed whilst they were making babies kwang kwang kwang! (Refer to picture above)

However, after the tour, the 4 of us were still unsatisfied as we wanted to ride a speedboat like the above and not a ferry! Feeling all adventurous (kekeke), we kept asking around persistently to get one for ourselves and after 15 or so minutes,

This guy, Ah Long, managed to get us a speedboat! Kekeke, in the nick of time I tell you! We were just about to give up :P We had a little chat with him whilst waiting for the speedboat to arrive and finally, after waiting like a gajillion years, we got to hop aboard one! Price? Rm$5 per head!

As the person manning the boat was Ah Long’s henchmen and looked still young, we *ehem* sort of bullied him along the way hahaha! Ah Long offhandedly mentioned that since we were photo enthusiasts, we could go to the National Reserve to take pictures. Upon nearing the location, we realized that it was forbidden to enter, and the ‘driver’ too was skeptical but…
Us : Eh we want to enter here leh!
Driver : Cannot la, here forbidden, see the sign? Have to pay RM$5 000 fine you know!
Us : Can la! Just now Ah Long say can. Just turn the engine down and go slow so you don’t make noise and disturb.
Driver : … (I bet he’s cursing hahaha!)
*5 minutes into the mangrove area*
Driver : Enough not?
Us : So fast? Deeper in lah!
Driver : All same lah! Trees and water!
Us : Singapore don’t have this so must see more! Hahahaha!

Us : Can we stop at the jetty near our chalet please?
Driver : Cannot lah! Later I will get scolded as these are private jetties!
Us : That one, the one with the red roof, that one our friend! Yesterday we made friends with him, sure he won’t angry!
Driver : Cannot lah, later Ah Long or the men on the jetty will scold me. Cannot anyhow stop you know!
Us : That one can, that one our friend! Stop there!
Driver : … (Haha, no guessing what was on his mind!)
Wakakaka, it was seriously hilarious I tell you! I won’t be surprised if they put up a hard and fast ban on taking any more tourists on such speedboats in the future heh.

So fast forward, we went back to the chalet, snored like nobody’s business whilst watching Live Earth and zip zap zip zap, hopped aboard Cik Man’s car and headed back to Johore Baru all shagged :D Syiokabebeh!

After lunch at Mary Brown’s, we settled at Coffeebean’s and there for like 2 hours we caught up with each other, cackling like nobody’s business and just enjoying each other’s company :) A nice, light hearted way to end a great trip with great people!
By the way, in total I spent S$90 only on the whole trip. Not bad, hor?
