Jurong West St75 Haunted?

I understand that amongst my blog readers, lie quite a substantial portion of you who live around my area, which is Jurong West St 75 (Singapore). Being right smack in the middle of two prominent ‘landmarks’ of that area, which is Gek Poh Shopping Ctr as well as Jurong Point, it therefore came as a surprise to me when I found out, after 12 years of living here, that that area (marked with a star) is haunted.
Just two days back, my uncle who was manning his stall at Gek Poh Shopping Ctr at around 5pm, was approached by a couple of gasping teenagers beckoning him frantically to help their friend. The girls, who were in their early teenagers, told him that whilst they were walking and fooling around along that stretch of road, one of their friends (A) suddenly went really quiet and her facial expression had changed.

Apparently, sensing the change in mood, the girls asked A what was wrong with her. After a long silence just standing motionless, A suddenly started to laugh manically in a very non-human like behavior and spouted incorrigible words. When one of the girls wanted to touch A, A tried to strangle the girl.
Since my uncle couldn’t assist the girls, he made them call their parents, who in turn called an exorcist. Apparently, the girl was possessed. Hearing the commotion, a customer of my uncle who was passing by, shared that her husband too has been ‘disturbed’ multiple times when he was in that area.
Being a bus driver, her husband returns home daily at around 2 – 3am in the morning and parks his bus in the huge parking lot (see above picture, right) and rides his bike home. There was a time, he spotted a bus moving and seeking company, he rode close to the bus, only to see that there was no bus driver. At another moment, upon following a bus do a turn, the bus vanished into thin air.
Oh, and let’s not talk about the number of times he saw Fatimah Rockers (Pontianaks, haha) and was actually attacked by a flock of crows. Uhuh, attacked. By crows. At 3am in the morning. Like, what are the chances?

And if you refer to that same picture, behind the parking lot you would notice a building painted in Brown, White and Green. That, is actually the former Civil Defence hostel which has long been abandoned. There are many rumors on ghostly sightings around that area, and if you actually just walk pass there, you can already ‘feel’ that something isn’t right somewhere.
Also, I don’t know if it’s an electricity circuit thing or something, but at times I would notice, whilst my dad pumps petrol at the station next to the building, lights in certain VACANT rooms flicker on and off. And on different nights, one or two random lights will be lit. Maybe I’m just paranoid, but darn, that scares the shit out of me heh.
The building will soon be converted into a hostel for foreign students, so good luck to whoever’s moving in :P

Anyway, if you go further down Street 75 towards Jurong Point, you would notice a whole area of apartment buildings being cordoned off from the public. If I remember correctly, the apartments were opened to public a few years back but a couple of months later, everyone moved out and the area was closed.
With the lack of apartments to go around, I highly doubt that it’s due to high prices that no flats were taken up. Also, if it was an ‘unsafe’ structure, knowing the Singapore government, the whole area would have been torn down and rebuilt (since we’re lacking in space). Rumor has it, that the place is unlivable as it is dirty.
I have to say I quite believe this rumor, as there IS a block around Jurong JC which is cordoned off from the public due to it being dirty. Just one block, in between many others. My friend who lived near there, said that many of the inhabitants complained of ghostly apparitions, disturbances, and the number of suicide cases. In fact, on certain nights, you can see a group of people chanting around that area.

After all that’s been said, do you believe? Or do you merely think it is a trick of the mind, a mental torture on those who think too much? Do share your personal thoughts and experiences, and let’s freak each other out with such stories heh :)

It can be 4 pm in the after noon and the sun blazing like mad but when u naik the stairs (cause no lifts since its abandoned blocks) its all dark. And Cold. My friend saw someone watching us when we were ascending the stairs, I was chatting like a madpie and another felt it. Seriously I actually rase but its better to ignore because I feel this is all setan punyer kerje la. But at the bomb shelter underground I felt abit hysterical not sure why but I was glad I didn’t break down or what la ahah!

Insyaallah i’ll be fine :) You also pray what! den u could have read this entry! kekekek!
One block around JJC pulak…
Is it the around the blue blocks there opposite the computer lab blocks?
Anyway, in taman jurong also got ‘tempat keras’, maybe u’ve seen it.
Think it’s block 66, blue coloured, near jurong sec sch.
Apparently got hantu kum-kum, going around knocking on people’s doors saying “assalamualaikum-kum!”
Oh, this reminds me. Why are cik pons more popular than hantu kum-kum, pocong, or any other hantu ni?
Asyik diorang je yang masuk filem kan?
Er? Which blue blocks? Can’t seem to recall any blue blocks?
The aforementioned block is in the cluster of blocks opposite the petrol kiosk, the one with the bus 99 busstop which kids usually take. You poke around ah, it’s the only one where the entrances are barricaded. Woohoo!
Haha, Taman Jurong also have? how come i never notice before? I used to go there every day when i was in JC1 somemore kekeke. I shall ask faris. But hantu kum-kum? So basi! I thought that one long ago story?
Pontianak more popular cuz they can seem chio at times mah! Good for marketing!
haha, taman jurong, my neighbourhood. aderlah tempat2 kerasnyer. anyway, the bue blocks are now painted rose pink. the one got NTUC underneath…
aaaaaaaah how come i never see NTUC before one. Oh wait wait! is it the one yang ada some bank also? Quite an old building…

mak kau, aku jamming ngan dier orang? maner ader! dier tolong aku buat aku punyer PW ader lagi. it was just hanging outside my room window while i was typing away on my house computer. FYI, my computer was just beside my room window okay.
and… it tried to enter my house! but klakar!, failed. it hit the window damn hard and slide off. lol. maybe cos, all of my family members pray and my room is our praying room and also where we put quran and all..
you never know how scary it is la babe.
the other stories.. keep it to next time ah (:
HAHAHAHA ok sorry but the very thought of cikpon langgar tingkap and slide off is hilarious. next time if we see any yang ada bandage or plaster, tu kau nye ah! hehehehe :P
erk! spooky!!!! never heard of it, but thx for the infor!! wahahahhahahah….

Anyway, yah i live around that st 75, just down the road!
eerrrr… huh, you stay around there… takut nye saya…
around my place also haunted u know… haunted with FLASHERS masturbating and stalking me!!!! but that was 4 years ago… all kind of races some more. kurangajar nye anak2 goblok! i have yet to blog about that. it was nightmare. selaser-laser me and sefierce-fierce kita, i freaked out lah dengan syaitan-syaitan hantu-hantu yang suka kacau & ekori saya pada waktu malam dan juga pagi2 buta…
THAT IS FUNNY (:
actually that reminds me, my friend said something that made sense. she said she’d rather meet fatimah rockers and her members rather than robbers, flashers & all.
her logic? at least biler jumper members fatimah rockers & co, dier bace-bace, dier orang pun ciao. tapi.. kalau jumper robbers & co, bertaper banyak bacer pon, dier orang tak ciao dah.. get the logic?
Yanni -
haha i dont stay there, i stay AROUND there. 2 busstops away to be exact. alhamdulillah, so far so good. insyaallah it stays that way :)
hehe awak boleh avoid dorang. senang jeeee. awak dress lah serabai nak mampos. CONFIRM dorang tak kacau wakakkaka.
Shak-
hahahha your friend punya logic i understand, but very warped lor! :P i’d rather meet the latter, thankyouverynice! Because i am a pengecot! wakakka :P
faddy – you will be shock to see how i dressed during that few occasions. you nak what is selekeh…
1st – i baru balik jogging. hantu cina apek do that gross thing and show to me. omg!!! and he grinned! wtfish.. i jogged terus tukar jadi sprinting.. morning 10am
2nd – ns botak hantu malay guy – i was with my mom and he call me girl (nenek dia!), and showed how he do it to me and my mom. that’s it lah. my mom screamed at him and he rushed to the 4th floor of blk 272 yishun street 22 and wanked at the 4th floor pillar (we were then at the bus stop just across that block!) everyone looking and were shocked!!! its afternoon.
3rd time – im on the way to work – the same ns guy – call me and wave at me, i walked briskly and he went to the staircase same block – he do it. i screamed and run. by that time i was like phobia to walk there. but no choice. so everyday, my mom got to fetch me.
4th – the same guy waited for me after work at 7pm.
5th – the same guy – 8am – he waited for me under my block now. at the letterbox area and smile at me. I u-turned back and screamed for my brother who was sleeping – tak leh harap. my mom rushed. and he ran away. cos a lot of aunty going to market.
then i tot he is gone. then he was at the bus stop where i always waited for the bus. he gave me a warning sign tell me to be aware…
6th – me and my bestfriend – shida, saw one chinese apek under my block doing it. at 1st we tot he pee, sekali oh no!!! we screamed and he ran! ni malam. we were chilling, just come back from 7-11. coincidently, after that – the same malay guy walked past us. then i went like oh no. lets go back.
ard my area – i tell you a lot of flashers sick in the brain.
my ever first one when i was sec 1 at my old house, indian man put his thing out from his unzip pants and showed it to me.
during all that incident, i dressed up all close up. nothing revealing. i avoided that spot for like one year before i started taking that route again. nightmare!!! i even stopped going to clubbing for a while at that period. my mom or my ex fiance will fetched me everyday. cos i was so damn scared. it just freak you out.
ok wrong channel. bye!
haha (ok im not supposed to laugh but its quite funny :P). you damn suay hor! i only kena once before, this bangla under the void deck in front of my school. I called the police, end of story HAHAHAHHAHA. so funny lah. me and my friends were like laughing and being damn amazed…
lol, this bangla always come to the block outside our school lor. my frens & i also saw it.
when i told sohail, nazra & leroy, they were like “why didnt you call us? we would have run out of the school and beat him up man! walao eh. no respect for girls!”
wah wah! talk about gentlemenliness (:
hahaa gentleman ke saje je nak tunjuk macho wakakakaka.
uncle sha.. u take 199 back to hall 9 kan?!
yeah.. that civil defence place gives me the creeps too.. thank god I sort of got kicked out of my hostel and am no longer staying in hall 9.. if not, i also alone like uncle sha.. wagagagag~~
haha on the contrary, if both you and sha alone, you two can teman each other kekeke!
You got kicked out of your hostel? Now THAT’s a story I’d love to hear :)
Ooooo…i like dis post of urs! I’v always been intrested in supernatural stuff, but so far it’s just limited to reading about them as it hasnt been feasable and convenient for me to get into ‘real action’ aka ghosthunting etc. Personally i BELIEVE in the existance of ‘those things’. I dont mean 2 sound religious, but they’re God’s creature, just created in a different way and forms instead of looking like us.
I liv in de east but once i went to dis farm in de west area. I remember passing by NEW Civil Defence training area though. I nt sure abt de old CD training place. But one thing 4 sure is that i also passd by an area of ABANDONED blocks of ’short’ flats. In fact it’s a whole small neighbourhood..wth the vacant blocks of flats AND a vacant hawker centre! I cant remember exactly wat de name of de address. Do u know anyting of it?
Hello!
I’ve also always been interested, but unfortunately I am very pengecut like that and would rather not see, but merely hear stories about :P Why isn’t it feasible for you? As for myself, i beleive in them the same reason you do – God’s creation. Also cuz one too many of my relatives or friends have experienced such things first hand :)
As for the new CD area, i don’t even know where that is! hahaha! Is it the one at bidadari? if so confirm lah haunted kekekke!
Oooooooohhhhhhhh spoooooky.
That’s for the west area sey.
Bedok(east) pon ader, Admiralty(north) pon ader, Punggol(north-east) pon ader.
Pontianak pon nk tinggal HDB-flat tau.
Asek tinggal kampong jer, berak tkde flush.
Dorg pon nk upgrade.
Wahahahaha!!
Eh ok I shall not make fun of it.
Shuttup Anz!!
ooooooooohh takoottnyeee!
kekekeke… anywhoos, how come you know so many places? Go there leh with your biker friends and report to us any ghostly thingamajigs. confirm exciting!
BTW HAHAHHAA. ok the pontianak comment was darn funny!
Long time sey da tak pegi ghost hunting.
Now i think antu-antu pon sick of us asek nk carik dorg jer.
Hahaha!!
But remember Faddy, if u go with me for ghost hunting AT NIGHT, don’t be amazed by me staring at a spot or 2 or 3.
Me & cikpon tengah challenge who can stare longer lar.
Kekeke!!
Dulu cik pon minarep so dorg maen stare-stare.
Shit i’m making fun of dem AGAIN.
Sori yer cikpons.
They’ll be reading ur entry oso without you realising you nooooeeee.
Hehehe~
aha yah lah you siao last time every thursday night go exploring -.-||| sungguh cari na’as. haha. anyway, if fatimah rockers read my blog, yang patot takot is you lah since you are FOREVER making fun of them!
hahaha!
ayo icaaa!
I wonder though, if people moved out because the flats were “dirty”… they must be in a lot of debt right now? Unless HDB actually reimburses/compensates people for selling a supposedly haunted flat???
What’s the story there I wonder…
Eh ya! I was wondering the same thing too. I think maybe HDB does compensate, as in give another flat of the same value? Exchange, I guess. I mean, if the WHOLE flat is cordoned and everyone shooed out, they’d have to do something about it kan?
of cos that place is, umm, keras.
thats my old camp right there. and being operational 24 hours, i’ve had my fair share of baby crying, orang mintak tolong, dan lain lain yang sewaktu dengannya.
Kau tak takut ke faddy? woooooooooo~
Oh!! So you were at that camp?!
Eh Mr Malique, share leh some stories in more details!!
i expanded post and scrolled down quickly! hahaha, luckily never read. last weekend someone told me jerangkung/pocong stories in simei and for one week till today, my lights switched on at night while i slept. and tomorrow im going indonesia, and will be staying in the room alone! i’ll send an indon kakak to do a flypast across your window tomorrow, wait for it. :p
HAHAHA eh what story about pocong story in Simei? I live so far, so i dont mind hearing hehehe… walao, you going travel again. crazy la, baru balik msia kan? den next week gi kukup lagi. gerek man!
ANYWAY THANKS LA EH!!!!
at this rate, the whole of singapore might be keras. pasir ris is also keras. a Fatimah Rocker dropped down from a tree near Pasir ris park and started scratching my guy friend. serious shit. and if u hear ‘quack, quack’ sounds from up the trees at the park…it’s them.
so i believe. i’ve been possessed by a djinn for several years. and the exorcsm part was not a walk in the park ok. but not anymore though! don’t worry……..
*maniacal laugh*
i think everywhere is full of spirits, afterall they are creations of Allah, and too stay somewhere right? I guess it’s a matter of those which are nakal, and those normal ones who are harmless.
Your fren kene scratched at Pasir Ris Park? What he/she do at Pasir Ris park at night? Menggatal isit? Maybe that’s why the rocker help him scratch AHAHAHAHAH! Oh ya quack2! I read somehwere also, rockers quack. Why ah?
the infrastructure of the carpark in the above mentioned block is effin scary, can? maciam got eyes, nose and mouth. =/
thank God im staying at Street 71!
oh btw, my friend who stays at the block facing the CD hostel told me gazillion stories that happened. woohoo cool ass shit siak.
hahahaa ok i’ve never noticed the eyes nose and mouth. Will checkitout when i pass by when i getting home later. Street 71 and 75 very near lor. so good luck! kekekeke :P
Eh share leh some stories!
whaaaaaaaaaat… actually there ARE a few HDB blocks in Singapore ‘cordoned off’… although the reasons are never made public. there’s one in Woodlands (where I live), Bedok, and CCK i think.
eh you should organise a Cari Hantu walk! HAHAHAH! entah sape nak pegi pon aku tak tau..though I’ve read before that Izad (of IzadnHana) went ‘exploring’ or somethin?
Woohoo someone should go and find out the reasons as to why these blocks are cordoned off, cuz all of us are hearing more of rumors! heh…
As for Cari Hantu, COUNT ME OUT. Hantu cari me i super takot, apa lagi i nak cari hantu for what? haha. Izad want to go to take pictures, but he hasn’t, i think. Go ask him? I only went OCH before. scaaary!
Haunted or not I can’t say for sure. I used to live at Jurong West Street 52 opposite Rulang Primary School, and I do know a fair share of haunted spots when I was stationed at Tuas.
There are many estates with vacated blocks. I am currently putting up north and these blocks are secured with gates. These blocks only came to light post-Sars (call it co-incidence) and are used majorly for separating Sars victims from the rest before they are eventually evacuated to the hospital.
Jurong west st 52? where’s that? is it near the jurong polyclinic area?… care to share the haunted spots? haha.. afterall i think some people reading this thread are all geared up to explore locations!
Oh, i didnt know they were cordoned for sars purposes! So isit haunted, or sars? Hmmmm…
Here are some spots but some are mentioned by older colleagues.
1. Upper Jurong Road (Told by older colleagues, drove home 2 years on that road but no personal experiences. But friends in OCS many years ago told me plenty of sightings when on guard duty though.)
2. AYE/PIE with the flyover towards Pioneer Road exit.
3. Lim Chu Kang Road @ bridge close to Jalan Puyoh. (Everyone says the runway but I saw nothing in my days attached to Lim Chu Kang. Skidded and almost destroyed my car, being the usual civil servant looked around for anyone I hit… saw wet footprints but nobody around.)
St 52 is close to the community centre. Blk 520 is just behind the old Jurong Police Division. For the flats, they had to be locked down because some of them have been vandalised. I made a trip to the woodlands one opposite the church and it’s obvious some of the windows were smashed and some doors were picked. No idea who did it, I guess the ghost-busters? Hahaha…
Can’t remember which channel it was… either Nat Geo or Discovery, they just talked about these pontianak phenomenon in Indonesia, both in Msia and Singapore too. The only errie thing to me is… all their descriptions when drawn on paper are so alike.
Waahh so many places to check out! Thanks for sharing, Ed. Ghosthunters, take note! As for myself, I have passed by a couple of the locations you mentioned, but Thank God, have not encountered any. (not that I want to -.-)
As for the Fatimah Rockers (Pontianaks), well, that documentary just proves that such things exist ey? What else can explain the similarity? And even IF the docu was staged (but nat geo and discov are quite established firms, so chances are unlikely), in real life, many of the people i know who have encountered such forces, describe it the same way too!
There is no such thing as ghost ! The only ghost that I known off is the one that appear when you looking in front of the mirror.
You are your own ghost.
The ghost is conjured due to our fear and imagination, and the trick of our mind.
Hi mabelin!
Well, i guess everyone has their own beleifs. As for myself, I do beleive in ghosts, in the sense that they exist, as one too many of my relatives or close friends have experienced supernatural behaviors.
But i have to agree, that most of the time, it is the trick of the mind. So it’s kinda hard to differentiate between whats real and whats fake!
Wahhh.. Faddy The Ghostbuster Next door!!
You know hwat I think Singapore on a whole is haunted la.. Like really.. cos I’m sure back then in WW2 surely a lot of people were killed around the island..
Oh when I was in Ulu Pandan Camp back in my army days there were a lot of sightings and sounds at night.. Japanese songs, people talking all through the night and there’s this one time a Fatimah Rocker Never Die dropped by one of the bunks to rest herself at the edge of the bed and watch a guy as he sleep. Only for his buddy to wake up and witness the whole scene.. freaky!!!
hahhaah ghost buster? ghost pengecuter ada lah! kekekeke. i squirm at the slightest thought of them, apa lagi nak bust em? kkeke..
Oooh! more japanese ghosts around singapore! my friend was just telling me about him hearing jap soldiers in some park. padan muka memotek malam2 wakakakakaka!
hello..bloghopped from uncle sha.. I know of someone who can see la.. he is an uztaz..a person who iman dia kuat can see la.. maybe i should tell him to visit that street… But sometimes kan, u rather not know where exactly the things are or where they are standing.. U rather not hear them or see them.. lagi seram kan..
hahaha actually if i had the third eye likethe ustaz, i’d rather CLOSE it. Imagine, going everywhere and seeing these things! I dah lah lemah smangat, confirm if i see one standing at a specific location, i will NEVER go back there hahahaha.
thanks for dropping by and do come again soon! :)
omg the abandoned flats are like quite near my place! me and my friend always take 242 when going home, and even in daylight the area looks damn scary seh. ishh, but my mum told me that the flats are actually for the people in boon lay place when their flats get torn down in the near future, so the abandoned flats are actually for the ‘homeless’ people. so how??
anyway, you were in my primary school malay class, primary two with cikgu hussein if im not wrong. i remmbr theres jannah n fifi, so you should be in the class too. ive added you btw :D.
HAHA ayooooo!! becareful hor, i always see that area contains alot of big black stray dogs. I tend to avoid it. I dont think at noon it looks that scary though, cuz it’s situated next to a busy street. but come night time, when traffic flow decrease and the whole area is unlit, fuwaaarrr, imagination go wild! kekeke…
As for your mom, man, I’m really unsure seh. But in that case, why can’t they just move everyone now? The building’s like vacant for a nong nong time already you know. and if im not mistaken, there used to be people living there before, but moved out. Hmmm…
Eh same class?! alamak can post a clearer picture of you? i cant quite recall a person name shahidah (actually i can, but its a different one heheehhe)! I do remmeber cikgu hussein, fifi and jannah though! keke…
hahaha! yeah there were two shahidahs in tt class. i think you’re thinking abt the shorter one, not that she’s short now :P. clearer picture of me? haha! i’ll try and find one, i don’t usually take self-portraits.
ahaha ok I’m linking you up babe. dont forget that picture! :D
okay, just reading your entries gives me the jeepers creepers. i’m an eastsider so I don’t really know where are all these places..but, the last picture gives me an eerie feeling…wooo..
about the abandoned apts, I think it may be true that it’s dirty. a friend of mine told me once that there were “dirty” apts in bedok but I don’t know if that’s true or not. scaaareeh..
my dad once told me a story about how he was in a moving bus without a bus driver late at night. he was freaked out and so were the other passengers. But the only difference from your story is that the bus driver together with a few other people were at the back of the bus trying to push the bus cause the bus had broken down! hahahaha…so anti-climax.. :/
when i was in school, rumor has it that the rockwall in my jc was haunted cause the hockey girls spotted a ‘fatimah rocker’ there during maghrib time…well, but I have yet to have any encounters. Not that I want to anyways…
hohoho when i was writing it, i myself was creeped out wakakaka. buat malu :P Anyway, bedok! so many people commenting about the aprtmnet at bedok. someone shoudl checkitout man!’
EH YOUR STORY MINTAK KENE SMACK CAN?! hahahahaha…
ooh, yeah…that whole area consisting of a few blocks that’s been cordoned off. i recalled while i was doing relief teaching and taking buses that passed by that area, i was always wondering apsal tak buka² tu public? takkan tak siap² kot?
and which block around JJC? was it just being cordoned off?
haha that building actually was ready a very very long time ago. in fact, some areas are quite run down already from what i see.. as in, it doesnt look new anymore…
As for block around jjc, i dont know the number, but its at the group of blocks opposite the petrol kiosk, along the mainroad heading towards the jurong west market. it was the only one being cordoned off, in the sense that the exits/entrances are all gated and padlocked!
oh yah you know what, i used to live in jurong too. st 41. 12th floor. my sister (who was then a studious freak who burns the midnight oil) often heard somebody whistling….
ehhh! i used to live at jurong west st 42! level 4! hahaha. we were neighbours :P ok whistling on 12th floor.. coming from where? could be over excited neighbour next door peeping on her who thinks she’s pretty? hehe… is it the same sis on ur blog u were talking about?
YEP. the used-to-be-good, now-dah-jadi-setan sister. haha! i’m so mean. and congrats on the 300th post!!!
hahaha kesian your sis kalau dia baca tu.. anyway thanks liz! :D
whn i lived in ntu hall 10 i saw smtg dirty before. blk 52 level 4. basically i went to the toilet at ard 4am n i nampak ada pompuan yg duduk kat balcony, pakai baju merah n rambutnye panjang.. she looked at me and my hair just stood. i nv looked in that direction again when i go to the toilet in the night.
dunno if it was my imagination, but i really felt spooked out that nite.
n many times i walked around the playground area near hall 4 (used to stay there too), n i felt something wasn’t quite right.
are we just scaring ourselves? haha
aaaahh another NTU story!! ok i shall keep in mind never to stay a hostel if one day i manage to get into NTU hehehe.. eh so when she was staring at you, what did you do seh?
I think sometimes we’re just scaring ourselves la. haha tend to imagine all the stuff!
Now that you mentioned it, yea I realised some peeps call it “Fatimah Rockers”… why this name? Care to share?
hahahhaha. its one of those things where people start using it and i followed suit hehehehee.
But i think “rocker” would have something to do with the pontianak’s long hair and their voice.
Anyone know why pontianaks are coined fatimah rockers??
Faddy!! U stay at Jurong West?? Sheeesh! I will be moving over there after I get married u know. U scare me lah u! My blood so sweet some more. Hahah! But mine is near IMM. Jurong East sana..so oklah kan..not bad. Wakakaka!
Frankly speaking, my fiance stayed at Jurong West near Rulang Pri. He ever showed to me the haunted places. In the first place, I didnt know lah. There was once we went to this petrol station that’s near this Army camp and around that area, got huge bungalow houses. I asked him a couple of qns abt that place coz it looked so sunyi and he told me to keep quiet. Kah kah kah! And he told me the place there is haunted, takleh anyhow say anything. Chicken mg nugget betul! I almost pee in my pants. Wakakak!
And the area where there’s a hawker centre where behind it ada rumah2 kosong..the whole place so dark..that one pun haunted. LOL! Not forgetting at Taman Jurong and Chinese garden..sheeesh! Creepy la.. And oh..that old Jurong police HQ..around there pun keras.. And there’s one block where a pocong is left abandoned there. After maghrib this thing will just wander. Scary right??
hahaha eh u moving jurong west! welcome to the west side clan bebeh! which part near IMM? near to Mukminin isit? Toh guan area there i feel quite scary hehehehe.
Eh you know SOOOO many haunted places can? I dont even know like so many lah! Darn, now i must avoid like so many places at night hahahhahha!
Eh eh, chinese garden, in what way haunted? I was thinking of going there to take picture take picture but now having second thoughts! erk :/ story story!!
Eh and that pocong, which block?!?! *pengsan*
Berapa banyak Eh dah~ kekekeke!
Hahaha! I’m moving around Toh Guan just near the mosque!! Sunyi sana?? And u felt scared? LOL! Abis lah me..hahaha! Initially I also don’t know got haunted places near there or not but my fiance has been there since he was a baby! LOL! He was from Jurong west then moved to Toh Guan. So he knew quite well ar the place. When we went back from JB via Tuas Link and passed by Chinese Garden, he said sana quite scary.. Coz his frens came back, and this Fatimah Rockers just flew beside the bike and sat behind la!! Eeee..okay I better stop! My hair all standing up! Wakakaka!
That pocong that’s near Jurong..I dont know which block. U want to make frens eh? LOL! Nanti I asked my tunang which block k. Hehe! I only passed the area once at night when he drove me there to fetch his lil bro from work. Night time around 8pm, my fiance said all the doors and windows of the flat are shut. Some blocks ada yang kosong, only a few people je stay in the area. Coz his friend’s wife stayed there and at night after maghrib or what, he saw the wife’s cat in the house looking straight at the living room’s window and suddenly the cat’s fur ternaik macam kena electrocuted! Wakakaka! He pun sense something is not right and he switched off the TV and went to bed. LOL!
eh i know where! it’s very near IMM. my friend saw a pochong there man! it was like jumping up and down near a tree. you know what’s the funny thing? in order to go to the carpark(to get his car) he must walk past that tree. terus dier DETOUR, one big round.
but anws, dalam banyak banyak hantu, this is one ghost i am most afraid of. cause i dont know what it can do to me man..
hhahha you two should watch this indonesian show aptly titled Pocong! Maybe you wouldn’t be so scared then. It’s quite funny hahahaha. Anyway, Idasie, dont need to ask your tunang already hor! i think i wont be passing by a deserted blocks anytime soon hehehhhee.
Can you ask your friend’s wife to take pic of the cat? confirm cute! hehehehehe.
(im making myself not scared by saying lame stuff. how sad. haha)
Faddy…u want the cat’s pic? Hahahaaha! I tak tahu if the cat still alive or not. :P
hahahaahha. fuh cerita lama gila ah ni kirakan? keeke!
Pocong at where?? At IMM?? Hahahah! Eeeekk…takut!!!
takot kan? hahah (: eh fad! aku ader DVD pochong 2, dah berminggu aku tak bukak. i simply have not gathered enough courage to watch the movie.
i notice the block yg kosong.. its lyk so sunyi.. no 1 living lyk that.. hahax.. ok it reminds me of old CSS.. hahax~!! Which is now old CSS and the primary school is lyk terbiar gitu.. Confirm haunted.. hahax~!!
hahaha yahlah! its already cordoned off, of course noone living in it! kekeke.. as for old css building, even before we moved out dah haunted what? the home econs (mdm aishah’s) room, the councillor room and the bandroom just to name a few.
That time one of the camps, me and my friends wanted to break into and explore the pri school building. but after feeling our goosebumps all naik, we abandoned that idea kekeke.. pengecot!
it’s true! NTU is haunted. I used to live in Hall 15, Block 72 (righttt at the end of the road) and well, let’s just say that if I come back super late, I’d be running back to my room and reciting prayers to myself. And of late, I’m spending alot of late nights on campus because of FOC preparations and well… wooo~ hahaha. i love this entry. funny how the supernatural piques the interest of both believers and non-believers.
fatimah rockers?! hahah that’s the first time i’m hearing that term. keep up the fantastic blogging girlie :)
hahha is this partly the reason on why you moved out? anyway what made you run? cuz you were ‘feeling’ scared, or cuz you really experienced something? Meh, i used to run home from the busstop all the time too, and keep looking back (JGN PANDANG BLAKANG, wakakkaka) all the time cuz i’d feel something following me.
anywya becareful hor when u do latenights. kalau takot, i can get uncle sha to be your guard, im sure that hamsem strong man won’t mind tehehehe! thanks idza!
P/s. i also just recently “discovered” that term kekekeke.
haha no lar, i moved out because of other assorted reasons. will be moving back in my later years i’m hoping. i miss the crazies. haha. why i ran? well… lets just say i have a superr psycho imagination. as for the strong bodyguard, i’ll look u up for the offer if i ever need to yea? hahaha.
ohh ingat cuz of the dirty stuff! heh :P anywhoos, talking about running home, i just got back home and i practically ran along my corridor cuz i kept thinking of all the stories you guys have posted lah!!
*selenger nye faddy. at last takut sendiri hahahah*
eh anyway, thanks ah. im gg to spent 4 years in NTU leh. walao eh. now i will be the one bace bace & sweating profusely while i imagine all kind of nonsense in my mind when i go home from NTU late at night.
damned.
tmpt civil defence lame … confirm ader nye benda cm gtu..
eyy, scary sey. Miss Faddy, pindah pindah! LOL :D
haha nah, i live quite a distance away. prolly around 300m? ok lah tu hor. at least alhamdulillah, so far takde pape at my house. kalau i pindah, belom tau rumah lain takde bende kan? ;)

Just got to read your post — ketinggalan zaman… *hehehe* Anyway, I noticed those cordoned blocks sometime last year or year before… still cordoned??? Wow, didn’t know it’s haunted… no wonder lah. So many blocks some more. Also, this is news to me… don’t really hear much about Jurong area being haunted and all, except for one story, but have to check with my aunt where it is exactly in the west area. And Jalan Bahar when my cousin was in CD training there. But definitely Pasir Ris is haunted… the Park and that river that leads to the park. My aunt’s sister’s apt there, siang malam kena kacau… and quite often. Also Bedok South block 7 [i think] which is next to the Bawean cemetery… my makcik used to live there and saw some strange stuff.
hahha its ok hartini. you were only one day late what! not like so long ago like that hahaha.. anyway, ALL HAIL THE QUEEN OF GHOST STORIES! your xfiles series super menakotkan can? i made my colleagues all read it. we spent half the day reading through the archives and freaked ourselves out after that hahaha.
yay now i got you reminded of certain other ghost stories and you wanna ask ur aunt, can i say we’re gonna get more xfiles soon? heh.
ehhhhhh.. itu kat rumah saya lah… i live just beside pioneer primary school tau i.e. st 81. and and and.. i work at NTU tauuuuu… awakkkkkk saya takut tauuu!! aisehman… haha.. no lah, i’ve heard of all these stories millions of times since i moved to the area 15 years ago. my mum’s place is at st 81 and now i’ve moved to my own place, also at st 81. but have seen nothing yet. keke.. hope i didnt speak to soon though because i so the VERY the penakut you know!! kekekeke..
eh… I ALSO LIVE NEXT TO PIONEER PRIMARY! hahahha. we’re neighbours! kekekeke.. st81, betol lah! hahaha… alhamdulillah i’ve also seen nothing around our area, though a friend who has a history of seeing things did see something in my room before (which I’ll reserve for another day).
Didnt sleep in my room for 2 weeks after she told me. hahahaa. i also VERY the penakut you know!
Faddy! How could you do this to me?! Property price in my area sure drop lah liddat….
On a much more serious note, I’ve yet to come across anything creepy in the St75 area. The only thing creepy thing I came across would be the odd character crossing the open field infront of my block in the middle of the night.
Most importantly, JANGAN pandang belakang
hhaha alamak, why didn’t I think of property prices man? kekeke… sorry yat2. im sure the housing agents wont be too happy with me now. Eee how come got odd character crossing malam2 buta? isit a nightly thing or you only saw once?

hahaha yay glad you love this entry! jurong west st 61 patne eh? isit nearer to boon lay mrt or lakeside mrt? stadium JE ke JW? haha. im horrible at directions, pardon me mdm!
OMG how did the fatimah rocker laughter sound like eh? isit really like the movies? *seram sejuk*
its nearer to boon lay ah.. take 179 will pass by…

*heart attack* ya allah, i hope i dont ever hear it…. but they say kalau clear and kuat, that thing is jauh. kalau pelan baru dekat.
Hahhaa.. Gitu nk kena venture out.. Hmm.. But yeap.. There’s 1 neighbourhood was fenced out. Heard it will be opening tis yr.. Tapi blom bukak2 lagii..
Tapikn.. Dgr orang crite jugak.. Kak Fatimah mmg popular ngan tis area.. Harr.. Tu lahh.. Kluar balek lambat je.. Hati2.. Jangan pandang blakang.. =P
which neighborhood gonna be opened this year? curious juga beta…
heh. i see the jgn pandang blakang phrase in this entry like at least 5ive times! kekekeke…
ahoy faddy! *waves frantically* i blog-hopped from voeg’s bloggie. reading your post made the the ends of the hair on my skin stand…nose hair and all. anyhoes ur post made me wonder to myself…do fatimah rockers get to hang out during ramadan or do they get chained up during ramadan. and also do fatimah rockers hyper-ventilate?
helluu jonas.
ey, im no pro in this kinda thing dude. I’ve never experienced first hand (and no, i dont want to). But like the Quran says, all syaitan are chained during Ramadhan. Fatimah rockers fall into that category right, if i’m not mistaken? So i guess they should be? correct me if im wrong haha… (atlhough mat minah rocker to masih ada lah. banyak skali. bukak je mata tengok coffeeshop, diorang smunyik2 minum kopi ishk ishk ishk!)
As for your second question, honest to goodness i have no idea. Sila check wikipedia hahahahha. sorry!
hello (; blog-hopped from hardi’s blog :p
omg. thats like so freaky :s hahaha. i live in the east, so far heard stories & all. still don’t wish to see any. im such a frigging coward :$ haha. LOL. anyways should always believe in god, pray that these stuff just don’t bother us. i do believe that if you don’t bother them, they’ll do the same as well (:
tc & stay pretty always :D
Hello kinah!
haha i’m in the same boat as you – curious as to all the stories, but not wishing to see any as im a ‘frigging coward’ too! wakakakaka… I choose to beleive that also, but unfortunately some of the people i know directly, kena even though they’ve done nothing to piss the ‘hantus’ off. Hmm.. maybe the hantu really bored, need some entertainment heh!
Thanks for visiting, drop by often yeah!:)
omg, are u serious?!! i live around that area too, and have even jogged past those abandoned flats (after maghrib time somemore *faints*), but i never knew the place was so ‘keras’!
there was once my mom and I were jogging (this was somewhere near st.90 plus tho), and were passing under this gigantic tree when we suddenly smelled – you guessed it – frangipani. and there were no frangipanis around, kekeke! my mom and i took one look at each other and just cabut ourselves from there and baca-baca a bit at the same time, hehehehe.
i’ve heard and seen all sorts of things outside my flat very late at night too, so it’s quite scary to live in my area actually. =_=
- myztika, the blogger previously known as snack monster, hahaha
p.s. btw, i found out abt the goggles thing already. u just gotta go to ur optician, ask them to convert ur degrees to diopters, and then find a pair of goggles in that range. i was told that 500 degrees roughly converts to a -4.5 diopter lens. :)
haha i know tell me about it! i pon kadang2 jog around that area. scary mary! now i dont even dare hahaha. naik bus pon ngeri wakakka…
St 90 is at where ah? jauh from 81 eh? kalau jauh then i dont mind ahhahahhaha. good luck to u too! :P but i think since they never kacau den its fine la, insyaAllah :)
why you change your name ah? kekekeke. so classy, now!
btw, thanks for goggles info. confirm mahal man.. hahah…
I’ve had this idea for a while and it’s like my dreamjob…
Islamic Institute of Paranormal Studies
How cool would that be? Like ghostbusters gone Muslim! I’ll build a machine gun to take down Jinns. Probably be like a smokeless flame thrower.
But seriously, we Muslims are the only people who are aware of the Jinn world…shouldn’t we have some sort of International agency set up for it? I mean UFOs and all those other paranormal things come from the Jinn world right?
I shall be a Jinnitologist. teehee!
hahahaha what the! you watch too much cartoon lah jonas hahahahahaa. anyway not only muslims what, christians all got exorcists etc etc. but you cans set up one lah, i think a lot of people will join one.
omg sure lucrative! you can even make shows ok. TRUE FILES. hahahhaa. i remember i saw this indon show, they tunjuk all the hantu2. scary mary and quite popular. kwang3.
jinnitologist dono why reminds me of ginny and harry potter.
Hey i Love these goust stories so if you have some good ones the go to my blog spot
http://vanessa-hauntedstories.blogspot.com
Thanks!
Whoa so scary, and to think I am okay with those places. My friend lives along Jurong West 75, and I’ve been there countless times and last time NS in jurong pollice division, have yet to encounter such things.
My only 2 ghostly encounters were back in the old Police Academy in my bunk! Horhor scary!
haha then you’re like me, the lucky (or not so lucky, depending on how you look at it) few who didn’t see stuff! Ive been living here for 11 years already dude! keke.. anwyay what happened with your ghostly encounters? Scary marrryy…
hell yeah babe, i guessed it’s true…many FATAL accidents happened there too u know… ok now i dunno what else to say, cos i lived VERY near there… :S
eek ok i dont know about the fatal accidents happening there! care to highlight? haha.. anyway you liveD? so you moved out already lah? Sigh of relief ey? kekeke…
alamak…i just read your reply lah babe. fyi, i’m still living there. haha! and to make it worse…an uncle once jumped from the top of MY block you know…how eerie is that. there was once when my bf & me were in the lift, we’re not the only two mind you. there’s quite a number of people in the lift! then when the lift went up, i saw some white figure outside. gosh i kept quiet cos i thought i was imagining things. but when i got out of the lift, the bf asked me whether i saw something outside. bulu roma teros naik okayyy! eerie shit, i tell ya…
that last picture? where is that?
is that suppose to be at och, the staircase leading to the second floor where leads to the pentagram room?!
please clarify, thanks.
ZX
Hey there! The last picture IS taken at OCH, leads to the second floor, but I am unsure of where it leads to. Apologies for that. For my OCH entry, click here :) Hope that helps!
Thanks for the reply.
I’m not quite sure what OCH photo are inside a Haunted Jurong topic. It’s kinda err.. not right.
Just my point of view.
Anyway, have you check out the ‘monkey tree’ yet?
Me and the rest are moving up to the tree somewhere around this week for some photos. Would you like to tag along?
If you ain’t too busy anytime this weekend, hookup with Andy (andyhajime@hotmail.com) on MSN and he’ll filled you in…and yes you can bring some friends. I don’t think that’s a problem for him. Like he said, the more the merrier.
haha I know, and I apologize. Just that I felt a need to put up a picture there, but have no more relevant ones hehehe.. Anyway, thanks for the photography trip offer but I have to pass that. My weekends already filled ey.. Thanks again and hope you guys have a good time. On a sidenote, I thought that monkey tree is just a matter of “you see what you want to see”. heh. just a personal opinion.
It’s not a matter of “what you see is what you see”. For SGFX, though we’re not investigators or researchers, we often question everyone, is what we see is true, or is there another logical explanation behind it.
At least we are not the one proudly saying a jackfruit is a ghost and made a VCD out of it. heehee
It’s ok if you’ve to pass, no problems.
Cheers
Hahaha.. Is it me or do i find that you were being sarcastic? Was there really such a video? haha.. if not, then just ignore me :P
Thanks again for the invite! Cheers!
haha… well, i am a lil sarcastic, but no worries… it’s not for you.
There is ’such’ a vcd sold in Singapore called “Hantu” which concludes everything as Enactments and ironically tells everyone that a jackfruit is a ghost. I’m not sure what but I got a feeling the producer of that vcd loves jackfruit alot. haha.
Should try look out for it from any of your friends…don’t buy it. Waste money. =D
ookaayy. i’m a bit slow but i how come i don’t that these blocks, ESPECIALLY near jj, are sealed up and not suitable for living in?! eh next time bring me along to see-see. haha. cari pasal!
hahhaa check out sgfreakylinks.com! they organize haunted tours around singapore! kau gi la carik pasal eh, aku tak nak join. hahaha!
Oi oi oi… mana ada tours. Just private outings ajer… Julz nak join boleh. Cuma jangan lari ajer lah kalau tak sengaja nampak antu. heehee.
Faddy > Penakut lah makcik nie. hahaha!
To be honest,i’ve been living at the jurong west st 75 area..And i see or hear nothing about ghost in that area..juz wondering where u all get those news..hmm..
Well, my resources are based on hearsay from the people living around the area who told them to my mom who has a shop around there or to their friends, who in turn, told me.
I don’t have evidence, but then again, more then 50% of Ghost Stories are based on hearsay. To each his own, I guess :)
Ghost stories are normally come and go. Some people are too busy with their life and never even think of such ghost existence. Trust me, if you mix with the people who majority chill outside the clubs area, and with the ones that does adventure and exploring a lot, there are lots of stories you will hear not only from your place.
Opposite Jurong west street 75 is Jalan Bahar camp. There are hell lots of stories in there too… and it’s is still within the range of Jurong West Street 75.
Check out our webby to read the reports on the Jalan Bahar Parking Lot which Faddy mentioned in her blog.
Cheeros
By any cause, im working there. To be specific, PAP blk 750. It’s not just rumours as i have my own experiences too working there. “IT” followed me back home and i was down with a freaking high fever of 39 DC. It subsided after a few days but when im back working (to be specific: my class is in the music room), my fever rise up again till i went flat in the office.
I’ve seen a few times in my class. The thing that freaks me out was, IT was wearing PAP PE attire. When i was teaching, the “thing” disturbed me and my students by banging the door very hard. As i thought it was some naughty kids around the neighbourhood, i ignored. After quite a number of times, i decided to open the door and take a look. To my astonishment, there wasn’t any soul. A few minutes later, me and my students heard the sound of “goli” above the ceiling.
If that wasn’t enough, my former students told my colleagues that they have seen IT in the toilet and the venue is in the music class. Thank goodness, next year i’ll be transferred to blk 749. Still, i have to be prepared mentally for any cause.
My bro has to make it worse by telling that the area used to be the place where Japanese soldiers died. God knows how true his story was but what i knw is that alot of tenants decided to move.
Sorry for the long post.. just had to share my side of story. =)
Nice…. join our forum lah at SGFreakyLinks and talk about ghost and weird stuff. The link is in Faddy link page. Dont want to post link here, wait Faddy scold me for promoting. :P
Eeeeeeeeik! That’s damn scary. I wanna know how it looks like! Care to describe? And now I think I shall avoid those places whilst walking home… haha.. thanks hor!
I served NS in SAFTI camp… never see anyting leh… :p i thot the cordoned block of flats are already open to the public? I just went there last Hari Raya to visit my fren. dumdeedumdeedum…
Yup it just got opened actually.. now I think they’re letting people live in there back. I wouldn’t seh.
well.. my former students told my colleague that she saw 2 old, big and black features with long hair and a small kid starring at her all the time everytime she faced the toilet.
the other incident was, every students was watching the tv quietly and this girl turned facing her back and waved at the “library corner” which is near the toilet. She kept doing that a few times and my colleague asked to whom did she waving and smiling to. She didn’t want to reply and just smile at my colleague.
Another student stopped my colleague at the end of the day frm closing the door by saying, “teacher! wait! got one more person!” my friend turned and asked, “where”. and he replied, “Oh! he got out already.”
Frm my experience. “that boy” who peeks at my class looked just like a normal sch boy wearing PE attire. i hope i won’t see any “old, big and black features with long hair and a small kid starring at me” next yr. geeezzz
*look at my comments above*
woahh.. i sure have lots to say.. But still it’s up to individual to believe it or not. Cheers!
waaaaaaah. Seriously, that IS damn scary I tell you. I was telling my aunty about your story yesterday and she said it sent goosebumps up her spine haha… I guess, its better off that we dont see it. And yeah, just so you know, I believe. Because I know they exist :) Cheers.
I’ve been searching for ghostly sightings/hauntings around Jurong West since I live around Street 92. I wanted to know any area I should avoid hehe because I’m such a sensitive person and if there is something around, 8 out of 10 I will be able to see or sense.
I used to rent a flat (block 200+) opposite the Jurong West Police Headquarters (near the old CD camp) near Jalan Bahar. At that time (abt 3 years ago) still got a lot of blocks very empty. If balik malam, aiseyman very hair raising. Teksi drivers never failed to comment about me living around such isolated blocks. Even early morning (around 5 plus) when I have to sent my doter to the roadside for her school bus, I always lari balik when I have to pass by those empty blocks hahaha.
The area memang keras, I never felt homely or welcomed staying around there. The flat I rented pun haunted. Glad we moved out.
If you got any more stories of Jurong West, post yah? :-)
Eeiiiiiiik. You’re one of those who can see? DAMN thats scary. But after a while, don’t you just get ‘used’ to having them around? I mean seriously if you say you keep seeing them, doesnt it become a norm? And haha.. teksi drivers have the best stories if you asked me :P Sure. i’ll post if I have any. IF i have any, that is :) Thanks for dropping by and please come again soon kekekeke…
I don’t see them walking around all the time lah hehehe. Only on certain occasions. I oso got pergi berubat so tak nampak mende-mende ni.
Very hard to get used to them lah since they like to play peek-a-boo. Tu yang buat anjat beruks hahahaha.
Ya, I agree with you about teksi drivers. I will keep a lookout of your blog :-)
omg, your ‘condition’ must be quite serious since you have to go berubat huh… I hope you’ll be strong and get through it :) Take care okay!
Now thats the most creepy thing i evert heard! it makes Shit come out off me! Dam! i’m not going near that place ever again!!!
ahahahaha its not THAT bad :)

OH Man…. hubby n i was just ABT to check out re-sale flats in nearby Jurong area since we are living with parents in JW ST 91!!!
Eh… that cluster of flats which “ppl moved out” from tu… i heard that flats are now open for those BOON LAY lamer nye residents since their flats kena enbloc??!!
Now that old CD camp ada hypermart S.S…
but despite the coffeeshop lighting and the increase in human traffic to and fro as well as from the Shell petrol kiosk.. that CD camp is definitely DARK COLD and EERIE!!
pity those foreign students & workers… they are living in a place whereby mat-mat CDs called as DB (Detention Barrack)… and they definitely know abt the woman in RED~~
Oh ya.. the stretch of road after the Police headquarter heading to expressway… EVERYTIME i drive there.. somehow somewhat.. the place is always misty.. U know.. macam ada HAZE gitu……
Geeeezzzzzzz….
ghezzzzz. y is everyone hooked up on ghost? i believe in ghost but i dont go crazy about it!!!!
Hi All,
I am looking at purchasing a flat at Jurong West St 91 Blk 944 on the 2nd floor.
Seeing here that you guys/gals are very well knowledged in this Ghost thingy.
Would greatly appreciate it if someone can provide me with an Honest feedback history on this block as it is also facing the PIE – highway opposite the NTU.
my concern herre is i have a 18 month old child and i do not want her to experience this type of stuff at this early age.
the pioneer mall area too…. those big trees… unclean =X
hahax as in, there were some sightings…
