Father’s Day Celebrations.

Last Saturday (I know, this is SUCH a belated entry hahaha), the family on Dad’s side decided to have a gathering to celebrate Father’s Day as well as my grandparents 50th Anniversary.

The whole day basically comprised of camwhoring and stuffing our faces full of food. Like… You should have seen the spread! My humongous dining table couldn’t accommodate it, so we had to recruit one study table and the top of my shoe shelf! Wahahahaha. It’s no wonder I feel so chubby these past few days :P

I’ve always wanted to take the younger cousins out and after that small stint bringing them to the playground, I think I shall shelf that plan for future usage. Yes, I know when you count it is only THREE of them, but it felt like thirty I tell you.

Oblivious to my “Ahhh! Don’t run up there it’s slippery!” and “OMG look before you cross!” (which I think damaged Uncle Sha’s hearing since I was on a business call with him haha), the three kept zipping around and it was only until one of them had a small fall (not hurt, okay!) that they finally walked quietly together wakakaka.

Family portraits! It was hilarious taking the first picture (the one of grandma and grandpa), as we made them pose holding hands and stuff. It really was very heartwarming to see Grandpa smiling patiently whilst listening to Grandma’s antics about wanting to change chairs, make nice poses and whatnot.

So cuutteeee! Ok i can’t help gushing. Man, fifty years is alot okay. And they’re still going strong. I can only pray mine lasts that long :) Kwang kwang kwang~

After dinner and a prayer session together in the living room, we started on the games. I admit, it was really hilarious going around looking at each family striving to do their best. My only grievance is the small living room we had to cramp ourselves in, and the bad lighting which I just don’t know how to take pictures in :/

Taking pictures of people is something which I want to be able to do, but have yet to even grasp the basics. As you can see, the pictures above didn’t turn out well (save a few). Meh. I guess practice makes perfect, so I’m looking forward to the next few family events lined up. Must learn to crop and concentrate on facial expressions!

I guess the funniest part of the day was the ‘beading’ game, where each family was given a set of beads to make jewelery with. After making the accessory, each kid from a family was made to strut around in a model-esque behavior. Haha! How cute!

Oh and if you notice the girl in blue with the bead on the head, that thing was supposed to be a necklace but because it couldn’t fit, they improvised and clipped that thing on her head haha! That’s what I call creativity, y’all!

All in all, it was a day filled with laughter, fun and food :) In fact, I’m actually in the midst of getting ready and am meeting the whole lot of them in a few hours time hoho. Till the next entry, take care guys and have a great weekend!

I love how your family likes to do stuff together and you guys come up with some activity that involves bonding.

i think taking pictures of people are the hardest…but like you said, perfect comes from practice!

Glad to see the family playing games together. As in, to get the whole family to come up together and participating is already an achievement….

Anw Faddy! Better check the CD if it works or not. I’ll get you another one if it doesn’t. :>

Hey girl, smile always.
How i wished my family would do some bonding thing. But you cant expect much from a two-teenage-guys descendants. haha. We cant be bothered. we prefer to believe that the unexpressed-love exist. haha.

Am busy patrolling your streets now.

Chaoz.

Haha the pic of your 3 cousins – classic!
Your photography skills are getting better. (though I wouldn’t really know because of my almost non-existent skills myself)
Perhaps you should post a tutorial on taking pictures properly, with what to look out for, lighting lah, etc.
I’d sure as hell read it and appreciate all the help I can get in this matter, esp photo-taking at night!

wahahaha! ntahlah my 3 cousins tu! It’s like the ENTIRE day when i asked them to smile, they would do such a pose. naik geram kadang2 I tell you! ahahaha…

as for tutorials, alamak babe, i myself am learning, buat malu je kalau ajar salah hehe. I’ll try though, maybe one day when i feel i have improved :)
