There Ain’t No Privacy On The Internet, Darling. (Sixth Day Of Ramadhan)
I guess it’s safe to say that most of us have come across blogs which are password protected by this annoying pop up which sometimes doesn’t go away no matter how many times you click “cancel”.
And then we groan inwardly as inaccessibility would mean we wouldn’t get to read the latest gossips or stories by that said blogger. Irritating feeling, isn’t it? For all you know, the blogger password protected it because of YOU! Wakaka..
However, in this wonderful era of technology and complicated computer programming, for every effect there IS a counter effect. For every spyware we have an anti-spyware programme. For every virus, we have an anti-virus programme. And yes, for every javascript protected blog, there IS a way to get around it sneakily.
(Oooh. I sense those who use that same method all quivering in their knees. haha.. Sorry dearies, but you’ve GOT to know that your “protection” method is flimsy as hell and there are probably already 10 unwanted people reading your blog everyday without you knowing it.)

So today, I will empower all of you readers with the knowledge on how to get your way around these irritating password enquiries, so you can happily continue reading without having to know the password :)
First and most importantly, download Mozilla Firefox. There may be other ways to do this, but I’m only aware of this one method.

This next step comes only after you have installed the programme. It works just like IE, only way better :) haha! Whenever you’re free, just search around for extensions and themes for Firefox. They have a million and one ways to make your surfing experience better, trust me. Maybe I will elaborate on this some other time.
Aaaaanyway, click on Tools > Options and the above window will pop up. Go to the Content tab, do as the picture says, key in again the blog address that you’re so geared to sneakily read, and…

WALA! You’re in. Hahha. Yada Yada. You must be grinning at how easy it is kan?
(Ok non related but i suddenly smell sheesha. Sigh~ I think I want to buy a sheesha machine seh. Anyone know how much those things cost? Don’t tell me the price of the thing in Dubai, I will personally whack you around the head.)
So, once you’re in, don’t forget to check back that “Enable Javascript” box. If you find it rather tiresome to click 4 times and instead you want to know the password to that blog, caannnn! Very easy. All it takes is 2 clicks (after you’ve managed to gain entry for the first time)!

After sneakily getting in for the first time, just right click on the blog, and the above window will appear. Search for “View Page Source” and click that. This will open up a new window altogether.

The window that has opened up should look like a Notepad entry. Look around for a code which looks something like the above picture (it should be somewhere at the top) and take note of the words at the location of which I’ve pointed out. That, my readers, is your forbidden key :D Just remember it in your head, and you’re good to go!
Oh and I’m so kind as to give you a room for practice sessions. Haha! Click here to see if you’ve got it.
Hmm kind of makes me think whether or not there are ways to get pass MY password protected posts. Eeek! Scary! Haha.. Anyway, I can’t guarantee that it is 100% safe, but from my limited technology knowledge, Wordpress provides a much stronger password protection, and I personally think it is way better then Blogger.
Way, way, better. Teehee! So the moral of the story is, use Mozilla Firefox, Wordpress and please continue reading my blog for more simple tech stuff :D

Breaking of fast today was rather boring, what with Mummy and Daddy at the shop. The brothers and I just had some “tapao”ed food from the stalls downstairs and ate in silence. Haha.. How sad.
Oh well, at least next week I’m eating outside 2 - 3 times. Joyous occasions, yes, but I do wonder what Mummy’s reaction would be when I inform her later :D
