Happy Birthday Kimmy + Singapore!

On Monday, not only did Peah and I buy matching waterbottles, we had a Jedi-like battle at ToysRus and ended up spending 1 and a half hours in there. Ah. The joy of not having to grow up.

Tuesday was spent in the company of the manggamas (indian minahs haha), running around the whole school taking photos as it was sports carnival day as well as the celebrations of National Day. We totally abandoned our designated areas and started walking to the track la, classroom block la etc. Tsk. Kids these days.

By the way, damn cute right Rono’s mascot (the bee)? So freakkiingg cuutee! And I don’t know why but i get the feeling the maroon pirate is Idza’s brother. Idza! Is he?

My house, Banister, got 3rd place out of the 4 houses. Hurhurhur. But then I myself didn’t sign up for any event so i gotta be thankful for those who did. Thanks guys! Oh and erm.. I was actually wearing the Owens house tee as i don’t have a Banister tee :P Talk about disloyalty.

After much whining about not being able to get tickets to the National Day Parade this year, Sangitah beti suddenly dropped a bomb (a good one, though) that she had 3 tickets to the real thing on Wednesday of which she’s inviting Radhiyah and I. Eat that!

We boarded a bus from Bukit Batok and endured a 45 minute journey in order to celebrate the 41st birthday of our nation, Singapore! Clap clap clap. 45 minute, you know. See how much our love for the country is? :P

The queue was so freaking long, it was nuts! Sang was saying “Eh.. How come we walk so long already? We are now at my house isit?” Siao.

Our seats were pretty good, and it felt so brilliant just sitting in a sea of red (loser Rad wore white), waving flags, screaming songs. Hoho! Actually, the three of us were the only ones screaming around our area. We were surrounded by small kids and nonyas lah!

I felt so bloody patriotic you know! Haha. When Majulah Singapura resonated from the speakers, the three of us sang like nobody’s business, chests out, cheeks puffed. Haha.. At school everyday have, don’t want to sing. Macam jakun gitu!

And I noticed that not many Malays actually got leading roles, quite sad ey? Is it because we really suck that bad, or because of tactical issues? (Rumour has it that it’s because the gahmen scared Malay officials are going to abandon Singapore and defend Malaysia.. cuz you know, there’s like the Malay word in Malaysia. Pfft)

The best part of the night was of course, the multiple fireworks! I took lotsa pictures but none of them turned out fine. Kwang kwang~ I think the fireworks cost millions, which, is pretty darn extravagant if you ask me. Imagine that money being put elsewhere. Oh well~

Hmm.. And actually i thought previous years’ displays were much more dazzling.

All in all, it was a great day minus all the queuing up, pushing shoving and the **** ahpek who cut our queue, ignored my diss AND rubbed his darn slimy sweaty arm against my face. AAHHH! Gross. -washes face with Dettol AND chlorox-

The second day of the holidays, Thursday, was spent with my two babies, Rhino and Piggy. We chilled at Piggy’s Clubhouse (I swear her condo is like SO damn nice), studied for a few hours, gossiped and laughed for the next few and smacked each others’ asses for the rest. Thats what I call happy times, baby!

Friday was blah. Got stuck outside my house for 4 hours due to my forgetful self (thus lack of keys). But i did manage to finish my novel of the week during that duration so I guess all’s well.

Dewa – Roman Picisan (Lyrics).

Saturday was pretty much captured by the song above :/ It was actually a matter of feeling numb and being ignorant but when I finally faced it, everything comes back, raw as ever. I hate this feeling, I hate being curled up in bed, just crying and waiting. Shit, I can’t go through another phase like this. Choosing between past, present or future.

Sunday was definitely the breather i needed to sort out my mind. Cikgu Hanita, the Malay teacher from Commonwealth Secondary, was kinda complaining that we’ve not visited her for a long while.. Feeling guilty, Peah Totot and I trudged back to school for the fair css was having.

It was nice, walking on the same lane I’ve walked for 4 years, soaking the same atmosphere, sitting on those benches, laughing at the same teachers.. I was glad I went there. And the talk I had with Peah really cleared much shit I had in my mind cuz of Saturday.

Anyway, Sunday ended really well with plans for the upcoming week. Like for example, the postponed movie trip with Ady (and gang?) on Monday or Wednesday as well as that certain someone asking me out on a date to Night Safari next Saturday. Kinda looking forward to that, since I’ve never been to Night Safari before.

But of course, plans might not fall through. I just pray they do :D

And for this, I guess God does love me hehehe. For every heartache He gives me, i get double good things coming back. Karma baby!! Ok, updates next week! Back to studying for moi :)

P.S I’ve replied all comments, aight! Keep em coming or no updates for ya next weekend! wahahhaa… (and seriously, you should stop visiting this site on weekdays, all 150 of you. I’m NOT gonna update on weekdays.. not.. not.. nottttt! I must stick to my schedule! I.. must.. study!)
