School Tomorrow!

[ Begin Friday Evening ]

The bestycouzy, her mum, my mum and I (ok, my youngest brother too but he was awol most of the time so let’s just ignore him) decided to meet up and take our yearly trip to a particular location outside of the nation.

It would be cool if it was the hajj, but nope it’s not. However, where we’re going does play a part with something to do with the hajj.

Haha! We went to Johore Baru to get our Baju Raya (Hari Raya Costumes) done! Weeee~ It was a rainy day, but it didn’t dampen our spirits one bit! C’mon lah, my mum’s with her bestysister and I’m with my bestycousy. Of course we’ll enjoy each others’ company to the maximum kan?

We boarded a cab to Angsana (a shopping mall) and finally managed to get our fill of food and conversation (discussing whether one of the waitress was actually a waiter) at Pizzahut.

They were having this new pizza at the same price stated, although the major difference was, it was in RINGGIT malaysia! Wakakka. Super savings made people! But the pizza itself wasn’t that drop dead delicious.

So soon after, we left and detoured to our 2 favourite shops at Angsana, the Lagenda Boutique and the Astana Boutique.

If you guys want to check them out, Lagenda is a boutique with rather steep prices (There was this beautiful kebaya, but it’ll set you back $800). But as the designs there are okok baby only, my family and Anz’s family prefer to tailor make our clothes there instead, as their workmanship is superb.

Astana, however, only sells ready to make clothes. Most of their designs are rather aunty-ish, but there are a few gems in there! Worth checking out. Clothes’ price range are not as steep as Lagenda’s, from what I see.

Like the normal typical Anz-Faddy meetups, Camwhoring ensued!

We had so much fun trying on clothes, locking ourselves in the fitting room and taking a gazillion photos, making jokes at one another.. Hoho! After the 1 hour we spent at Astana, we were so damn tired (taking photos and laughing) that we collapsed on the sofa as the parents were still deciding on what to buy.

It was around 830pm (we reached Angsana at 5plus pm) when we finished our clothes-shopping spree, so the parentals and us split ways temporarily so we can get whatever remaining stuff we wanted.

By 930pm, Anz and I were rather unsettled as we couldn’t locate the parentals and both our phones’ auto roaming decided to go bonkers at the same time. At last, we just sat in front of the UO Supermarket and 15 minutes later the Parentals came into view.

Yay! It would suck to be left behind in msia with nothing but RM$5, the new Dewa Cd and a new pair of Raya Clothes :P

After some complications at the Woodlands Checkpoint, we finally touched Singapore soil at around 12am. Wee!~ I had such a great time. Faddy <3s AnzKecique!

[ /End Friday Evening ]

[ Begin Saturday Morning ]

I actually woke up at 8am to do my work! How cool is that? haha. So on and off, i completed quite a number of things, like my History Source Based Questions, Time Table Plan (of which i discovered i’m left with 3 months for the first paper. THREE!), some Maths revision questions and my GP AQ essay.

I think thats the most amount of work i’ve done in a day (copying homeworks in the past is not counted la adey). I impressed myself even. Kwang Kwang Kwang~

In the evening, I tagged along with the family to a relative’s chalet. Seeing that I wasn’t really close with anyone there, I headed to Anz’s Bf’s (thats Win!) chalet which was just a block away since Anz was there.

But as soon as I arrived, her bitches (thats what she calls her best friends) too just stepped foot into the area. So basically, i stoned around, chatted with her abit and laughed at their conversations.

What a bleargh Saturday, ey? Bummer.

[ /End Saturday Night ]

[ Begin Sunday Evening ]

The weather’s darn fine today. I can’t help but sit on my table overlooking the window, just enjoying the soft breeze, the mist of rain resting on my face and the Dewa music playing in the background.

There I sat for around 2 hours, smiling over the fact that I’m turning legal soon and that although my plan to ******** was cancelled, i had more then enough substitutes in its place. All the pestering and the confirmations needed were driving me to the brim of insanity I tell you.

I’m kind of happy where I am right now, in the middle of books and stuff. I have to be thankful I ain’t one of those people who at the age of 18, are already looking for jobs and worrying about bills and periods and whatnot. I am here, and all I really need to do is study. Heh, one problem - if only it was that simple ey? haha..

On a different note, I think the events that have unfolded the past few days make me feel as if God really loves me, that he’s protecting me. I know, this sounds wishywashy, but seriously.. If only I could tell you what had happened, you’d believe me too.

Good night readers :) See you next week!

[ /End Sunday Night ]

Awww~

I am so touched by your comments, emails and endless nudging on MSN asking me to start studying that I’ve decided that I just cannot let everyone down and it’s time i try my very best to start studying properly, seeing I have only 3 - 4 months left.

So this will be FingersDontFing’s last weekday post, afterwhich i will post up a super long post on every Sunday to summarise what i’ve been doing for the past week. Siao, i am not that strong as to delete the blog or proclaim that i’m on a complete hiatus, as.. that will be rather impossible :P

I’d like to apologise that i won’t be tagging you guys as much also and will be doing so only on Sundays too. For those blogger-friends i’ve made, please keep in touch k? *sob sob* This is so sad, but it’s for the best, me thinks.

I’ll miss you and your entries so much! If you miss me, you can just drop me a mail or leave a comment okay? Muacckss. Bye bye lovelies! Thanks for giving me the push i needed!

(Please don’t let this be a one week kinda thing again, where i will suddenly return with another blog under my wing. Haha.. Bismillah.. Give me strength for the next 4 months, oh God.)

PS. A big shoutout to Kak Luthien over at LicenceToSpill.net, who has become an inspiration to me. I really don’t know how to thank you for sharing your secrets with me and offering to be my shifu.. See? Blogging does have its pros and cons. If i didn’t blog, i wouldn’t have known her! :P

Damnit.

A certain teacher actually called my mum and asked daddy and her over to see the principal this Friday. He went on blabbering that I’ve not been attending school often and that all my subject grades have fallen.

What the hell is he talking about?! Both my econs and Malay improved to a B, my History remained at an F as expected (but i swear to God i’m working on it and my history mates can vouch for that) and the only grade which slipped was Maths. That bugger eh.. Anyhow say and ruin my reputation.

How come some of the other kids who also don’t attend his lessons and got far worse grades then i do (in his subject as well as the rest) didn’t get called to see the principal?! This is what i call discrimination man.

And the best thing is that he aint even my civics tutor.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

OK, after cooling down and getting my brain back intact, I must admit that the problem lies with me, not the teacher, not the friends. ME. For all the times i skipped classes, went to westcoastpark to study instead of school etc etc. Sigh. Ok, must rethink my strategy. Any tips on how not to be lazy, anyone? Perhaps a recommendation to a certain bomoh? wakakka. Kidding.

Ps. For Honeyza,

Somebody save me. Noone can save me but myself!

*Pulls Hair.

Must study for test test test test testtttttt.

Roaaarrr!

Another Weekend Flew By.

[Start Saturday]

Almost all of my Saturday was spent with the company of Piggy Claire. Truth be told, I can’t even remember the last time we went out together, just the both of us. Usually, it would be the racially harmonised three - Ashrithaa, Claire and I.

[BISCUITS. spelling error. Thanks Nana for highlighting it to me!]

Thus, today’s outing was refreshing. Got to know the stories of old classmates, of whom many I’ve lost touch with. Aiyer, I don’t bother remembering people who leave no footprints in my life. I even forgot most of my classmates names! Wahaha.. But then again, it’s not like i remembered all their names in the first place :/

After studying for a couple of hours, we decided enough was enough and thus, crossed the road over to IKEA (we were studying at Anchorpoint’s Delifrance). Like omg, the place was so damn crowded you can just DIE trying to find your way around. For all those familiar with IKEA, the counter queue stretched all the way to the mirrors section. THAT’s how crowded it was. Humbug! I was suffocating.

Luckily the pig kept me sane and controlled my temper. Haha.. We went around making mental notes on what to get on our next trip, resting and lying down on sofas and beds, poking each other with pencils, dropping rubbish in each others’ shirts.. It was so hilarious!

All in all, it was a great studying/shopping trip :) Claire Piggy’s one of the finest friend I’ve ever had my entire life. She’s the only one who stood up and told me in the face about my issues, and managed to do it in such a way that I woke up not feeling a tiny bit angry about it at all.

I love you Claire baby! <3 I think you should stop bitching excessively though. Doesn't it go against your Christian ideals? Hahahhaa.. :P

[ /End Saturday ]

[ Start Sunday ]

Today’s family day, as usual. This time, we were invited for a Cukur Rambut event over at one of my cousin’s place at Serangoon. Wahlauey! We spent an hour driving around in circles looking for the place, it wasn’t even funny anymore.

What was most infuriating however, was when we finally reached the place, Daddy suddenly said (as if a lightbulb turned itself on in his head), “Eh! This one my boss’s house lah! I go here almost every week, just that I don’t remember the address!“…. SuperCannotMakeIt.com haha..

I didn’t really get to see the newborn baby, as the house was bursting at the seams with visitors by the time we arrived. So after getting my fill, i headed down to babysit my nephews. It was sooo funn! Running around, rolling about in the green grass, tossing them in the air :)

Such a perfect place, with perfect weather, perfect kids and a perfect babysitter. What else can one ask for? Heh.

We bade our goodbyes and after Mommy and I persuaded the Dad, we headed to Parkway Parade in a bid to contribute to the country’s GDP. The last time I went to Parkway Parade was with Faris, so erm.. today being 23rd and all, i was kinda unsettled at first. Buuut wth, after pushing all thoughts away, i had sooo much fun!

Seriously, i didn’t know going grocery shopping can make one laugh till her sides crack! The brothers and I drove our ferraris (carts) around, skidding it and whatnot. Then we poked crabs, made advertisement spoofs, shocked people by suddenly appearing in front of them.. heh. So funneh! But you know what the best part was?

K a bit of background info. For the past few months, I’ve been wearing this stupid $10 watch which had its second hand amputated and which doesn’t serve its purpose at all - it doesn’t tell time. Haha.. It was stuck at 2:56, meaning that it only tells time correctly at 2 instances in a day.

I know, its stupid walking around with a broken watch but ey cannot help it lah! I need something to cover my bare hands and I just can’t be bothered to get a new watch. I even prepared myself with the line, “Omg, I’m so sorry, sir. My watch just broke down on me, so I can’t tell you the time!” Wakaka..

So anyway when we were at Parkway Parade, I dropped mega humungo jumbo hints to the parents that I needed a new watch and that my birthday was coming in 2 weeks, and that i really reallyyyy needed a new watch. Haha! You get the idea, kan?

Shop after shop we dropped in, until we stepped into a shop with good service (NEVER buy anything from a shop with grouchy and unsmiling shopkeepers. They don’t deserve your money). The decision was between a $135 Fossil watch and a $95 Puma watch.

As i was boggling my mind deciding, the salesman suddenly took out this bling bling Puma watch, costing a whopping $165 (after discounts).

Daddy took one look at it, the look of marvel on my face.. and..

TADAAAAA! It’s mine! Wahaha.. Omg i could have just died on the spot having orgasms. Hohoho. Mommy did give dirty looks, but what the hell kekeke. I think this is the most expensive accessory i’ve owned my entire life! Faddy <3s her Daddy! Weeee~

So aaanyway (still grinning widely), we later ate at the outdoor Banquet, stuffing ourselves silly with Rojak and sushi from Ramen Ten. The place was rather crowded when we arrive, but by the time we finished eating, only a trickle of customers were left. Hoho!

After that, it was home sweet home, singing songs and talking in the lorry :) I so look forward to family outings on weekends! We’re going Johore next friday and a chalet on Saturday. So fun!

On a different note, Imran Ajmain tagged my Sudah Tu Sudah entry! Wkakaaka.. -dies- Hello, mister! I love your song! It’s time you get an album out, cuz I don’t buy singles! hehehe..

Urgh.

[ Edited @ 11:16pm ]

I found out that Irfan’s Grandma and Peah’s Grandad just passed away yesterday and today, respectively. Peah’s grandad passed away this morning at 5am and I thought it was quite a good thing for him, as he had been in and out of hospital for such a long while. Hope you’re feeling ok, totot. If you need someone to talk to, you know who to call. Innalillah.. Give my condolences to your families.

[ /Edited ]

I have a strong inclination to believe that a person i regard as a friend will betray me. The thought of it makes me sick (and sad).

On another matter, it depresses me that so many people around me are experiencing deaths of a close one. Innalillah. God sure is calling back so many people this month. I’m unsure if that’s a good thing.

Racial Harmony Day.

[ There are 7 pictures in this entry, including 1 vertically looong one.]

21st July marks the celebration of Racial Harmony Day in Singapore, whereby we, the multi-racial society, envelop each others’ differences and learn more about each other’s culture. For years, one of the practices done on this day is for students in government schools to dress up in traditional costumes, most of the time, the costume of a different race.

Ahaha. I freaking sound like a National Education teacher man. Kwangkwang~ Well, Sangitah (the chiobu above) and I managed to convince the whole class to don on traditional costumes, since it was the last official Racial Harmony Day for us to be able to dress up.

After much squabbling and convincing (and even threatening), Sangitah and I finally succeeded, and our enthusiasm pretty much spread across the class :D Cayalah Sang! Give me 5!

It was great lah, the fact that it took Racial Harmony Day to ‘harmonise’ our class. According to teachers, our class is the most racially diversified class - meaning it contains quite a proportionate amount of Chinese, Malays and Indians (Sang likes to think she’s Eurasian but let’s just ignore her).

It’s kinda sad though that Mr Freddy Gomez, our civics tutor, was not there to soak in the atmosphere. He always complained that our class isn’t united lah, blablabla.. If he had seen us today, he would have cried tears of joy! Wakakakkaka..

Err I know the collage is damn fugleh, but close one eye ok since it’s my first time. Haha. We spent more then an hour just taking photos with each other, that when I think back now, I think it’s obscene that we managed to do that! Hahaha..

Amidst the phototaking, we surprised Renuka with a round of birthday songs and the cake which the Indian girls bought for her. Super chocolatey man the cake. Too bad I only managed to get a slice, should have stolen some from one of the guys..

Oh and not to forget, a happy 17th Bday to Amirah too! May you get that guy you’re so infatuated with! Wakkaka. (I know who, she knows who, you don’t know but don’t kpo!)

If you look closely, I’m the only one wearing a chinese costume. Think it’s called qipao(sp?). Apparently, no chinese these days ever owns a chinese costume (what a waste, people!), so end up all the Malays and Indians have to lend out our costumes to the Chinese.

Haha.. I was carrying this huge bag to school, that noone can see me when I was carrying it. Bluek!

Don’t we just look pwettttyy? Wakakka. It was so fun, walking around looking at people wear Kimono, Kebaya, Baju Kurung, CheongSams, Punjabi suits, Saris and whatnot. The guys looking so macho and the grrls looking so elegant. It would have definitely been much better if everyone in the school donned costumes :)

So anyway by 12pm everyone cannot take the heat anymore, so most of us undressed and changed back to our school uniforms. When someone (I can’t place who) asked Sangitah why we changed, she remarked, “No lah. We are now dressed like the Scottish!

Afterwhich we held each other and did the Scottish dance around the concourse, telling everyone we’re Scottish. Wakakka. Damn retarded, man. Eh wait.. Is Scottish the word for citizens of Scotland? Haha. Correct me if I’m wrong :)

All in all, it was a good celebration of the last official Racial Harmony Day that I’m ever gonna have, since next year I (InsyaAllah) will be entering university. Thanks 05A08 for sportingly donning the costumes Weee~ If you want pictures, add me on msn at nurfadhilah88@hotmail.com :D
